Re: Best all-in-one emulation options - 2017
I use a Nvidia Shield TV for emulators. I have a USB stick full of ROMS in one USB port and a unpowered USB hub that looks like a Sega Genesis in the other (it just has 2). I turned the led on the Shield off in the settings and have it stashed behind my TV so all you see is the little Genesis. I hav...

Re: Retro Gaming Goals & Resolutions - 2015
Like retrosportsgamer, my goal is to buy no new/used games in 2015. My backlog is out of control and I have spent waaay too much money in recent years on this hobby. I really want to try and commit to playing through at least some of the stuff I already have. I could probably go a few years and not...

Without counting everything its probably around 600 or so games. retrosportsgamer has me beat by a mile...

Now your ebooks can be like the real thing.
More on topic, yeah I got the KFHD. Read a few videogame books on it so far.
Haha I should get this and spray it inside my leather kindle cover...

Re: Do you read ebooks?
I read books on an e-ink kindle. I love the library digital check out for this as well. The e-ink screen really is easier on the eyes than I thought it would be. For comics (both comixology purchases and marvel unlimited), I use my ipad air. The retina screen is so sharp and crisp, it really does th...

This is what I chose to do. I have a fast connection, but waiting for that download would be painful. Its on 3 DVDs with a bit of Origin patching at the end. Game is great so far.

Re: $1000
Since it is tax return time, I had this same question. I ended up buying a new gaming laptop and a Nvidia Shield. Too bad I need a desktop GPU to be able to stream PC games to the Shield, but I definitely need the portability of the laptop in this house. Laptop is the Lenovo Y510p with dual 755m SLI...

Re: What console and game do you cherish the most, and why?
I would have to say my PS2. I went out and found a 14" Wega to keep it hooked up to (god it looks horrible on my LCD and plasma) and I still plan on buying a bunch more games for it. I may also get another new slim one to have waiting in the wings for when this one will inevitably stop working....

Re: PC for everything
One way you could really cut down on the cost is to go for the budget CPUs from intel, cut down i-cores called the G-somethings. They're basically the new Celerons, but are actually pretty decent for gaming. The G840 is only 2.80 ghz but can already run circles around the 3.0 ghz e8400, which was t...
