So we had some chatter about this game during beta in the Xbox One thread, but I am curious who all is planning to pick this up and for what platform(s) (PC/One/360)...
Like many others, I was highly impressed with the beta and I've been very much looking forward to diving back into the game when it releases this week. It's some of the most fun I've had in an online shooter in years. It reminded me of the sense of speed and excitement I had playing some early arena shooters in the late 90s...
For those of you getting it on Xbox One, it would be fun to try and organize some times to play together in the next week or so.
A piece of info some folks around here may have missed but that may pique your interest in the game if you'd written it off as a game without a campaign: while there is no traditional single-player campaign, they do seem to be trying something fairly novel with their approach to the "multiplayer campaign". I'll be curious to see if this is just "cut scenes before the match begins" or something more, but given the strength of other aspects of the game, I'm willing to be optimistic.
Titanfall
Re: Titanfall
Can't wait to get into it, will give me.something to play into between battlefield 4 crashing. I loved the beta.
It comes out a few daya late in Australia, so I will buy it after seeing what people say about how the game runs in regards to bugs, but the beta ran silky smooth. I will be getting it on PC.
I am hoping the retail release will have a server browser, the beta only had match making, so hope they read the negative feedback and add server browsing.

Re: Titanfall
Put simply, I know I will play it eventually. But I know that wont be any time soon. Dark Souls 2 comes out on Tuesday and I've already got my collectors edition pre-ordered. I fully expect to be spending all of my free time playing that and pretty much nothing else over the next couple of weeks, so I'll be trying to save my money in the mean time and not buy too many other things (Especially full price brand new $60 games).
But all in all Titanfall does looks very good. I wasn't able to get an invite to the beta to actually try it, but all the news and gameplay I've seen makes it looks right up my alley. I'm not the biggest FPS fan, but I do enjoy them and the parkour aspects as well as giant mechs definitely make it unique enough compared to other shooters these days to catch my full interest.
So I plan on picking it up sometime down the road maybe a couple months from now, hopefully after a price drop or while on sale. Also I'll be getting it for PC since I just recently got a decent gaming rig and much prefer the mouse and keyboard for FPS's.

Re: Titanfall
I'm with Eco on waiting on DS2, but in all honesty, it's not my type of game anyway. I get bored of CoD within an hour and the lack of storyline/campaign is a big turn-off. I have literally hundreds of games in my backlog I could be playing instead of sinking a bunch of hours into another online shooter.

I plan on getting it for PC by the end of the month. I liked it a lot.
Older. Not wiser.
Re: Titanfall
I wish I could've gotten into the beta, as it looks promising. Hopefully, there'll be a free weekend or a demo soon.

I was all for it until they hit me with a 1 2 combo.
1. Origin only - fine I can deal with it if I have to for an awesome game concept like this or Destiny (if Destiny comes to PC).
2. 28 gig download, 48 gig install. While this is not a huge problem, it is for one of my gaming group who is on a 1-3 meg DSL connection. It takes him about an hour per gig. He could almost drive to my house (four hours away), download the game, and drive back, before his connection downloads it.

Re: Titanfall
I would consider getting it for PC if I had a group to play with. Most of my old gaming crew has scattered.

For the longest time that was not confirmed for launch. I see now that it is.
