Re: X-COM TBS Announced!
So far the game looks like what it should be, whichis great. Sure, the art direction is kind of bland and the palette is kind of garish but I can overlook those.

Re: What new Characters for the next Smash Bros.?
I doubt Megaman will appear on Smash Bros, being a Capcom character and all. Now, both Konami and Sega have a lot of fun characters they can add to the game. Belmont and Dracula would be fun and while the Vic Viper would be weird as a character maybe we can get a Gradius stage. Sega has a ton of the...

Re: Versions of Super Mario Bros.
You are missing a version of Super Mario Bros that was released for NEC PC-88. I have heard it's quite terrible and the color palette is weird. The main difference otherwise is that the screen doesn't scroll!

Re: Game Center CX
I saw the Ninja Gaiden episode and I found it terribly boring. There's no focus on the game itself, with little explanation of what's happening or why it's interesting but the host doesn't do much either, he just explains a joke here and there. Dunno, I was very dissapointed after the amount of prai...

I quickscopped under 200ms, making my shot register as a normal shot instead of a headshot thanks to TF2's mechanics.

Re: Nerds and Male Privilege
She seems kind, yet constantly being captured by Bowser suggests stupidity because a well rounded character wouldshe learn from her mistakes and create defences of some kind to prevent being captured again. The game never claims that being captured is her mistake or that she is dumb for not trying,...

Re: sega games vs snes games. snes still more expensive
Nintendo has a Disney-like following that eclipses the amount of people that know what the Megadrive can offer them. Their original price is mostly irrelevant now (see: 3DO), it's demand what increases the price. There's also a quite ardent following for many SNES games that don't have a direct equi...

Re: Nerds and Male Privilege
But once you get beyond that, female characters in games are portrayed as hollow beings who need rescuing or being told what to do. Princess Peach is the epitome of the princess in need of saving, and the ‘dumb blonde’ who always gets into trouble. Ok, let's stop here. As I have already noted, it's...

Re: X-COM TBS Announced!
They had me at Firaxis. This, they are good developers. And while XCOM is probably one of the best games ever made, the truth is that it would really benefit from a remake with cleaner graphics that are not as zoomed-in, a less clunky interface and better balance (psychic powers come to mind). That...
