Enemy Unknown is scheduled to be out this fall on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.

This, they are good developers.

And while XCOM is probably one of the best games ever made, the truth is that it would really benefit from a remake with cleaner graphics that are not as zoomed-in, a less clunky interface and better balance (psychic powers come to mind).

That said, I wonder what this "new story" is about. The narrative curve of XCOM was great, with every detail adding more and more to it .

Anyways, for someone who hasn't beaten the game I sure complain too much!

Same here. I'm afraid that if these FPSes sell like Fallout 3 did that other retro PC franchises will be bastardized.

Wow this is very cool. I know I thought about it, and I think I even posted about it in a thread here recently - an X-com SRPG would be great. Even if they don't include more traditional SRPG elements it could be very good as a strategy game.

Why do they reboot shit games like X-com and Deus Ex, but we haven't seen a new Rise of the Triad, Commander Keen, or Homeworld game in years?
