Re: The New Site Design is LIVE!
Came in from the email. Haven't visited Racketboy in a while but man it looks soooo good now. Looking forward to reading the new content. Maybe I can contribute articles too.

Better late than never. Looking forward to seeing what's so great about the battle system that many people have praised.

Re: Namco "Tales of" Thread
The SNES version of ToP was a technical marvel for its audio [quality rivaling current CD games, and actual voices!]; and along with Star Ocean [which also accomplished the same feat, and as a side note, had all of its spoken dialogue in English for the translation patch release ], were the biggest...

Re: Namco "Tales of" Thread
Which Tales of Phantasia version do you consider the best? I think the SNES and PS1 versions are equally regarded as better than the GBA version. I personally prefer the PS1 version because from what I see the current complete fan translation actually subtitles spoken dialogue, a feature not found ...

And when I have time, I want to restart Tales of Destiny and Tales of Eternia on the PS1 because I played the...

I have a PSone which I play regularly. Awesome system with awesome library of games. It's modchipped so I can also play the several excellent fantranslations that have appeared in recent years.

Re: Gamecube Classic Controller?
Any games where you would use a digital pad works great with it I suppose. I haven't really tested it out with Gamecube games just yet, only with emulators and the GB Player. Works great with emulators, not so much with the GBP, thanks to the one-to-one button mapping. You have to place your thumb i...

Re: Generic Super Nintendo Controller from Racketboy store
I asked this very question the first time I joined the forum. The answer I got (from Noise I think), was that the repro controllers are actually quite good. Probably not as good as the originals, but close. I've been thinking of buying them for quite some time now but haven't really got round to it ...
