Actually, if I'm not mistaken, the spoken dialogue was already in English in the original Japanese version, which I'm sure was a relief to the translation team!

As for the SNES ToP being a technical marvel for its audio... I believe it was also a technical marvel for its graphics as well. I remember the graphics blowing me away as much as the audio did way back when I first played it all those years ago.

from Joystiq:

It's been a long time coming, but it looks like the wait is nearly over. Well, by "nearly" we mean "three months from now," but that's better than nothing, right? The Namco Bandai localization of Tales of Graces F will bring purple pigtails and J-Pop to North American PS3s on March 13, according to the latest trailer above.

It's about freaking time. I've been waiting for a new proper Tales game for YEARS, and one is coming along for real this time. I'll be preordering this one right away. 8)

Better late than never. Looking forward to seeing what's so great about the battle system that many people have praised.

So I've been thinking about playing one of these... have only played Vesperia and Phantasia. I really liked both, what are the stand-out console releases (don't want to play a DS one)?

There's a demo on the JPN PSN if you're interested. The battle system is indeed very good.

So it seems Namco may really start caring about us again

Tales of Xillia is Coming to the US

After having to wait years before we got Tales of Graces f they are finally starting to release Tales of Xillia to the west. I loved Graces and from what I read Xillia is even better. Though it will be in 2013, doesn't mean we aren't happy for it.

That's exciting. I still want to get Graces F myself. Haven't played any of the new ones beyond Symphonia though... but I figure Graces F wouldn't be a bad place to jump in again?

Beat Tales of Destiny back in '98 or '99. Remember calling some kind of live game help hotline to find some obscure item. I did complete the Tower of Duraga dungeon or sidequest.... whatever it was, been a while. Truly regret trading it in after beating it. Not only because I could get a few bucks for it now, but it's also an RPG I could actually see myself replaying because the combat system was so fun.
