That controller is awesome. Love the color indicated turbo switches and buttons.

I use this controller too and what i like about this is the D-pad is a `+`,quite often with joypads the `+` is on a circular pad and i find these very inaccurate, after a while when they are worn you pull left and go either left-up or left-down instead

When it comes to finding original controllers, I've discovered that buying online is practically useless. Ebay etc are pretty much flooded with repro controllers, and when you do find originals, the price is jacked up.

Your best bet is to look locally. I've gotten plenty of cheap original controllers that way.

I know exactly what you mean. I remember saying years back that "power sellers" ruined eBay. It was THIS exact situation that I noticed it. Trying to search for Nintendo brand SNES controllers, but eBay is completely flooded with knock off ones. Worst part is one power seller will list the same controller several times, and there's a couple power sellers that will do that.

Anyway, you CAN get a good deal online, even eBay, you just gotta be patient and it'll come along. That link I posted on the first page, that was a decent price for two SNES controller. They were $8 each. Even after shipping they were only $11 each. If you find SNES controllers in a Play N Trade they're gonna be $10-15 each.

Wow I did not know original controllers were that hard to find or that expensive. If you live in the mid west you could try Vintage Stock, they are a chain store with about 30 locations in different states. They can ship you one for free if there location don't have it. They go for $6 or $7. I could not even imagine paying $15, just to much, shit I only gave 50 cent for my SNES.

I asked this very question the first time I joined the forum. The answer I got (from Noise I think), was that the repro controllers are actually quite good. Probably not as good as the originals, but close.

I've been thinking of buying them for quite some time now but haven't really got round to it just yet. (They're expensive to ship to Malaysia and I would also have to get some Retroport converters to use them.)

I managed to buy a shrink-wrapped, legit, Nintendo "model 2" SNES controller. Believe me when I say it was extremely difficult to find! There are hundreds of knock-offs on Ebay. I have only seen two legit and sealed controllers in the past year. I wasn't able to buy the first one, because the seller blocked non-US residents from buying or contacting them.

I believe that any sealed package with the "H seam" will likely contain a legit controller. All of the knock-offs I have seen do not bother with shrink wrap at all.

Here are pics if anyone cares. I have a lot more than this of the actual contents, but I never felt the need to upload them:

Well I found a really high quality 3rd party controller for fairly cheap. The d-pad is a little stiff but with some wear on it, it might be ok. It has a 11ft cord. The build quality is amazing. I weighs and feels like a real SNES controller. It's made by SJ:

Quoted For Truth. I can't tell you how much of a pain in the ass it was to find Sega Saturn controllers. I'm sure as shit glad that I managed to get some here from Kiger.
