Does anyone still play the original ps1 console and games?

I thought about just getting a playstation 1 model just for the retro feel. I own a couple of games and the system is so damn cheap I think i can get one for free. But I thought if people own a ps3 like I do and or a ps2 Do people still own the playstation 1 system and play the games still to this day on that system? Just a thought that's all.

I have never had any PlayStations and am wanting to start with PS1 games. I keep going back and forth about getting a PSone, I love how small they made those, or just getting a PS2 slim. PlayStation stuff is always last on the list so I have a hard time getting around to making the decision and buying the stuff (I just love Sega to much

).

Yeah I do. I have 2 PSone which work great. I had some trouble with one of the controllers before but got it fixed. I'm playing games I didn't play back when it was popular like shooters and some of the compilations. I really like that second version of the console.

I used to when my PS1 was still alive, but once it died out, I played all my PS1 games on my PS2.

Same here and more recently the PS3. PS1 games look fantastic on it honestly.

I always miss the full startup intro though, lol. Felt so epic:

One of my favorites. I have much love for it.
Main reason I repair and mod them is because I feel the system has a lot to offer when it come to quality games.

I try to, but both original PS1's I've bought are faulty. I've also gone through 2 PS2s. Are sony products always this unreliable or am I just really unlucky?

The first PS1 just refuses to read discs at all. The second reads them for about 3 minutes, takes ages loading, then crashes, every time. ¬_¬

You are better off with Nintendo systems

Anyways, I use my ps2 to play ps1 games; from the 3 games that I own anyways lol.
