Awesome awesome awesome 2 player mech combat mode. Did I mention it is awesome?
Moto Roader II for PC Engine
Super fun vehicular combat racing for up to 4 players IIRC.
Kirby's Dream Course for SNES
Fantastic mini golf game with two player support. Extremely underrated IMO.

Actually, Super Bomberman 3, 4, and 5 all go up to 5 player. The first two are 4 player.
