What beer does "everyone" drink where you live?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I'd rather hear about beers that you can *only* get where you live. 8)

For example, everyone in MA should be drinking beer from Pretty Things Beer & Ale Project

Aside from their original line-up, they also do the Once Upon A Time series, wherein they use old brewsheets to re-create beers from the past. Very cool, and very delicious stuff.

On that note, I don't think St. Anronlds makes it far out of TX, at least not in large numbers. Great beer brewed in Houston.

It's a rare thing to even see it this far. I only really see it at specialty stores and the HEB in San Marcos by the college that carries a bunch of off the wall beers.

Tons of microbrews where I live (a ways north of Seattle.) Pyramid, Widmer, and Redhook are all local popular beers.

I've had Redhook a few times, I like it :) Although most likely what I tried came from their Portsmouth, NH brewery.

I know the Widmer Hefeweizen is available near me, too. I'll have to grab a bottle sometime.

Hmm, I see Pyramid has an Apricot Ale. I wonder how it compares to the Magic Hat #9...

Speaking of Magic Hat (and Hefeweizens), the Elder Betty is my current favourite Summer brew. Very drinkable, really refreshing, light and crisp. It's also out in cans now. I'd recommend giving it a try if you come across it. 8)

Yanjing is our local brew (Beijing):

Not bad, but not good either, Tastes OK as long as it's cold and straight out the bottle. Costs 3 Yuan per 600ml bottle (about $0.50) so can't complain. Washes down the rat and cat meat skewers disguised as 'lamb' kebabs nicely!

If the local gas stations or 7/11s or other convenience stores are any indication, then crap, Blue Moon (just a notch or two above crap), or Sam Adams. It's difficult to find quality beer outside of specialty stores here, and since I moved, I'm not sure where any are anymore.
