These are all aspects I really enjoy of the hobby, but my available free time has changed. As some of you know I'm lucky enough to have a 9 month old kiddo
My wife & I also made a list & there are 15 movies we want to watch that came out in the past year & a half or so! Wow! We're getting a Chromecast 2 & going on a movie rental spree
With that said, between working full time, family time, daily household chores, catching up on/keeping up with movies, & actually playing games... I decided to make a list of 12 games I already own with the idea of focusing on 1 a month. 10 will be new experiences, 2 I'll be revisiting. I'll also be finishing 2 from 2015 in there. I put a lot of thought into this list (included several genres) & just reflecting on my use of time in general.
I'll still be on the forum, but less, & won't have as much to contribute to the "Games Acquired" thread in 2016. Interesting this is purely time based versus financially driven, but then again, time is our most valuable resource
Here is my list below. The 12 are in no particular order. Several can double as my October themed game as well
To finish from 2015:
Shining Force Sword of Hajya (3DS VC)
- Halfway through!
God War (PS2)
- Entering last dungeon/temple!
New for 2016:
1. Half Life (PS2)
2. Deus Ex (PS2)
3. Second Sight (PS2)
4. Psi Ops (PS2)
5. Alien vs Predator Extinction (PS2)
6. Ghostbusters (PS2)
7. Prince of Persia The Sands of Time (PS2)
8. Kim Possible What's the Switch (PS2)
9. Bionic Commando (NES)
10. Shovel Knight (3DS)
To revisit in 2016:
11. Quake (Saturn)
12. Alien vs Predator (Jaguar)
I'll update in games beaten thread from here! Here's to a great 2016.
Edit/Addition: Should mention not all my free time will be movies & games lol that's not balanced. I have multiple books to read, I want to dive into the boardgame Stratego (as I love SRPGs already), & get back into star gazing.
