Re: What are you playing?
I am playing one of my favorite games ever: Bolo by Dongleware (MS-DOS CD-ROM, 1995). It is the most innovative Breakout game of all time, including free paddle movement and tons of physics effects. Instead of talking much about it, I recorded a video of the gameplay on YouTube if you want to see th...

Re: favorite controller for fighting games
I just got this recently: m Works for PS3, 360 and PC. It's pretty freaking amazing. Gotta handle too so it's easy to lug around. Wow, that one looks cool and has original Sanwa parts for a change! The button positions look a bit close to the stick, otherwise amazing! I prefer one of my own four ar...

Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
Been watching Fringe. Finale tomorrow! Season 5 is soo much better than the terrible and boring Season 4. And we are also wathing The 4400. It is a low budget show, almost no special effects, but it has an interesting premise. We are on Season 2, and so far it has been very entertaining. Thinking ab...

Re: Video Game Documentaries
Second Skin (2008) - a documentary about somewhat extreme MMO players. I really enjoyed it.

Re: Games Beaten 2013
Turrican 3 (Amiga 500 [WinUAE]) on normal difficulty is the first game I beat in 2013. It is quite short.
I almost beat Heart of Darkness (PS1 [PSP]) too but I got stuck on the final boss screen.

Re: PSP Memory Stick Question
I have about 59 Gb on my PSP, using a dual microsd to memory stick adapter from amazon, and two sandisk 32 Gb MicroSDHC cards in it. I am pretty certain that this is the max. I am using all of it, only 200 Megabytes free. The adapter works great, but it is very flimsy. So it is definitely not someth...

I only know two, but there's probably thousands more.
There was a RISK for Playstation 1, my roommates used to play it for hours on end back in the day:

EDIT: an actual review is here http://www.gamespot.com/ps/puzzle/risk/review.html
If computer is ok, there was a really nice version on the Amiga called Amber:

The sounds in later KOF games literally doubled my enjoyment of the series. I know the noises for the blows changed a few times in the series but I'm not sure exactly where. I specifically remember 2002 on Dreamcast just sounded brutal, and I couldn't get enough of it. One time I cranked the speake...

At least with Sony and the PS3 you can easily make seperate accounts for other regions without any issues really. Get all of the foreign stuff you like! Not to mention the console itself is region-free for PS3 games. Are you sure it is that easy to make foreign accounts from within the US? From wha...

Thanks for a great thread idea ! Awesome sound effects that spring to mind: Impossible Mission / C64 - Hero screaming when falling in a hole. A classic. Extase / Amiga - EVERY sound effect (they get better the further you progress) Leander / Amiga - The sound effect of the smart bomb you detonate by...
