Resident Evil Revelations 2 Leaked

Post by Jagosaurus »

Awesome. I'm a huge RE fan and have the first title on 3DS with a circle pad pro... waiting for October 1st to start the first title but excited it goes back to the series roots. Realize I'm behind on playing this one :) dang backlog

Yikes. I would have much rather they move ahead with RE7. If this has any relation to Revelations, I can't say I'm that excited. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but that was by far one of my least favorite entries in the series. Story was bananas, all the new characters were god awful (how about those mechanics with dick jokes? or the slut), the boat was boring, and the scanning was tedious.

This is a true nightmare.

Revelations is the only RE game I've ever really truly enjoyed. I've had 1, 2 and Veronica on DC and 4 too. The whole lack of ammo/life with tank controls and junk camera always bugged me. RER finally felt modern, the control, camera and flow were solid and I never hurt for ammo either. I could actually see wanting to buy the sequel and getting it, though I bet you anything WiiU gets left out, though I got to wonder if the 3DS release will happen on it given it was the best seller on there.

That sounds awful. I prefer my cryptic, tense game design.

Not to retread the discussion but... Yeah. Lol

Unfortunately the first game got:
-good press/reviews
-good sales (i think)
-and good fan reception (what are you people smoking?)

So it makes sense that they'll make a sequel.

Thankfully we're not forced to buy anything. I'll wait for RE7... Or play that Evil Within... Or Mario Bros.

Actually going with RER 2 it's a better idea than going with RE7. The main series name is tainted by the awful RE6 and got really negative response, in the other hand revelations got a lot of praise. I assume any game designs that would go on RE7 will be put in this one.

Now if capcom releases a physical version of REmake remastered this would be a great year.

The secret is RE6 is better.

RER is hardly a throwback to the originals. Modernized? I played it directly after a replay of RE4/5, which still have tank like controls, but wow they're still about 10x more fluid and responsive when it comes to the combat, hit detection, etc. RER felt terrible in comparison.

You get to play as Jill again (when you're not playing the dozen other characters, talk about convoluted), and they dimmed out the lights again to try and be scary, and threw in maybe two puzzles... suddenly, the franchise is completely revived?

Lost Planet 3 blows it out of the water. And Lost Planet 3 is like a D-.

Did you ever play RE4? That is the best one IMO.

I never played RER so I can't compare it to that. But all the RE's after 4 were average or below average I thought.

Yeah resident evil 6 is better... only if you use it as a coaster.

If you dont like revelation pretty much you dont like the classic games.

These two sentences don't mesh.
