Wolverine from X-Men should have died at a young age
Re: Wolverine from X-Men should have died at a young age
Believe it or not, Marvel owns up to that weird timeline issue and has an explanation of sorts to cover it. I don't remember what it is, because it is essentially hand-waving, but they own up to it at least.

Yet he's not for the same reason Tony Stark was wounded and kidnapped in Vietnam, and then a random unnamed Southeast Asian country, and then Afghanistan.Nemoide wrote:Wait a minute, if Spider-Man was in high school in 1962, how is he not an old man at this point?

That's a good point.3DSStrider wrote:Fun Fact: My dad named me Logan because Wolverine was his favorite superhero.
Not-so-fun fact: I don't like Wolverine that much, or even the X-Men as a whole. The whole concept doesn't make sense to me. I get that mutants are supposed to represent oppressed minorities and all that, but it's not like gay people uncontrollably shoot lasers from their eyes. The fact that they have such destructive powers that so many of them either can't control or use for evil makes me root for the anti-mutant people.
But I don't like X-men because it doesn't make any sense in the Marvel Universe. Everyone is like "Yay, Avengers!" or "Go, Fantastic Four!", but with mutants they're like "Oh, no, we hate you, because we can't like people who were born with powers, but we love this guy who got stung by a radioactive spider and this other dude who is pretty much a poster boy for steroid use."
It just doesn't make any sense. Every time anyone brings it up, someone makes up some bullshit explanation. I'm glad they're not in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for precisely that reason.
