Well if you designed the cart so it goes in and then you can swap out SD or CF cards, well it probably could work. I'll be "that guy." Keep in mind a couple games did have game data (ROM not RAM) stored on the SS carts. System pulled game data from the disc & cart. One of the KoF games had a ROM cart, won't work with other RAM carts bc of this.
