It's my #1 as well and I don't see anything else knocking it off of the top spot.

If you don't already have them, you must get Vib Ribbon and ZanacXZanac. Neither received a physical releas in the U.S. and both of them are great. (Vib Ribbon, particularly, is just an amazing experience.)

They're hard to find locally. I'd have to go online for a lot of the best stuff. But the GBA did get me back into portable collecting, so GB/GBC will be on my radar.

I'm just gonna use PSN to flesh out the rest of my PlayStation 1 RPG collection, I have decided. I'll certainly snag Vagrant Story and Parasite Eve II sometime.

Went out yesterday and picked up Skies of Arcadia for the Dreamcast.

Even though I own a Gamecube, I want to at least play through the original game first before I try out the remake. I've heard that the Dreamcast does better graphics and sound then the Gamecube.

Plus, I have never minded playing an original first before a remake.

But the Gamecube version isn't a remake, it's just a port. It has rebalanced encounter rates and exp. gains and some extra content.

I've never heard of the Gamecube version having worse graphics, if anything I've heard they were polished up a little.
The music quality thing seems fairly minor, it's just a little more compressed from my understanding. You probably woudn't even notice anything wrong, I sure didn't/
