Smile:
Found Stratego today, new on sale for $15! It's the 50th anniversary version with the "sci-fi" setting. The pieces look like they're space marines versus colonial, and it's 30 vs 30 pieces. I dig SRPGs so this is righ up my alley.
Yikes:
It was 100 degrees at 6p today.Good ol Texas.

no, we ran the fundraising campaign back last year to get initial startup capital. basically money to make banks/investors to take us seriously. we've secured additional funding and signed a lease on a new development, but that won't be ready for us until november, and then we've probably got a good month or two of prep work before we do a solid opening.bryan_65 wrote: Hey man, I was thinking about your bar the other day. but, yeah, we're getting there. starting a business is hard.

Gets harder. You're a smart guy, but I know when there are a thousand irons in the fire simple things can slip by. I heavily implore that your team hold a monthly meeting to discuss your P&L report. And by "discuss" I mean pick that report apart.aaron wrote: starting a business is hard.
Frown: Hey, remember how I just mentioned how awesome it is to see people go out of there way to help someone? If not, just click back one page.
I've been picking up the mail and newspaper for a neighbor across the street for last week, and got a call from him last night.
Him- Hi Luke, just got back in town.
Me- Great! Hope the wedding went swimmingly.
Him- It did, thanks. Can you bring over my mail and papers?
Me- I'm actually at a friend's house and won't be home until around midnight.
Him- Oh. Okay. I was really looking forward to checking the mail. Can you come by any sooner?
Me-Sorry, but I can't. My wife and I get up with this group every Sunday, and have for the past few years.
Him- Hmm. Can't you leave at ten?
Me- Sorry, but no. We're binge-watching a show on Netfix and we've already started a new episode.
Him- The show is an hour long?
Me- Yup. And it's going to be longer as I'm holding up the group. I'll swing by tomorrow morning.
Him- One more thing.
Me- Sure.
Him- Did you forget to pick up the paper on two days?
Me- Nope. But two days the paper wasn't there.
Him- Well I found two papers in my truck bed, and they are totally ruined. Like, I had to throw them out. I was having some work done on the house, so maybe the contractor threw them in. But you were supposed to get the paper every morning.
Me- I did.
I know. Cool story.
But it pisses me off that somebody other than me threw his papers in his truck bed, and I'm doing him a favor, and he's all pissy because someone else did something. And I'm doing the guy a favor and he doesn't even thank me. That's just shitty.
Smile: Eh. Although I bring it up, it doesn't bother me. You know that one fat kid who is always unhappy, always blaming others and never seems to uncross his arms? He's a grown up that kid. He's a habitual constant complainer.
Smile: It's under 90 degrees and my wife and I are on holiday. And it is fine to poke fun at me for saying "on holiday" as my friends certainly do.

Smile - I managed to get an extension on my job.
Frown - I had to travel across town (like an hour and half) to go to the main store to see the big boss, only for him to come to our place to see me while I was at the other side of town.

I've got plenty more for ya. I recently got razzed for describing a movie as corking. Also when I mentioned a song was medina rope I was accused of making up words.
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Bummed: I tried to purchase the game Everybody's Gone to the Rapture several times over the course of yesterday in order to take advantage of the 20% off deal PSN was having for pre-ordering the game. Unfortunately trying to purchase this over the website was giving me a credit card error, despite this never being an issue before and the card not being expired. Thinking a way around this was to purchase a $20 PSN card from Best Buy and apply it to my account was met with failure as well. Knowing I was coming up on what I assumed was the deadline of 9pm PST, I tried to redeem the card from my phone, as I was on my way home from work. This didn't work, but I thought I was in the clear as I got home before 9pm PST. I redeemed the PSN card before 9pm, but every time I tried to pre-order the game, it gave me an error code. The screen finally cleared around 10pm PST and showed full price for the game. Needless to say, that was a very frustrating experience.
