It was just the box and game, so I got a really good deal. And I bought the Instruction Manual off of eBay and the total should come to saving me about $10, so I'm happy about that.

I'm super excited to have this game in my collection!
I enjoy(ed) this game a lot. It's very good and definitely worthy of inclusion in any GameCube library. Nice choice.
It's my first Fire Emblem game, so I'm a bit scared. Also, I have heard that it is not the best game for new people into the series.

However, my excitement and anticipation for the game was too much, so I couldn't pass it up. Also, considering it is rising high in price, it was a now or never type of move. I'm very happy with it and I'm loving collecting for the GameCube!

Nah, Path of Radiance isn't too hard, it's easier than the GBA Fire Emblem and much easier than it's Wii sequel. It's harder than Sacred Stones, Shadow Dragon or Awakening though, if we're discussing Western released Fire Emblem games.

Yeah, considering I don't have any handhelds at the moment, Path of Radiance was the easiest option for me. I eventually want to get others in the series if I like Path of Radiance, but that is a few steps down the line.

However, I am pretty well versed in Fire Emblem type games. I have played plenty PS1 Strategy Games where there is permanent death and you can't grind levels between fights. I think it will be a challenge, but it won't be something too difficult.

But, thank you for the help as I feel much better after hearing that.

Went to my local retro store today and picked up a few games I had been passing on the last couple times I went. Got Yoshi's Island, Kirby Dreamland 3, and Super Mario All-Stars for Snes and World of Illusion for Genesis.

A cheaper month this month, kinda. 3 of the amiibos had been ordered months ago. Shulk I grabbed when I could as he was the last one I needed.

The 4 games were from MyRetroGameBox. Not a bad selection this month!

I didn't buy any games this month other than my monthly subscription box. I plan to do the same next month. I have a shitload of games to be getting on with, and most of the new games I've bought at full price this year I havent played yet - and now I could buy them for half the price. I'm not gonna buy stuff right now unless I intend to play them pretty much right away.

@Bonez, what'd you think of Checkered Flag lol? I like the music & I actually dig the polygon look but man... that framerate!

You've got to grab Super Burnout.

I finally have a copy of FF Mystic Quest. What's your opinion on that one? With the masses or is it judged too harshly?

I like Checkered Flag! The graphics are really unique and so characteristic of that era. I haven't sunk any serious time into it yet, however.

I am a big fan of Mystic Quest. It's a "beginner's RPG" - and was designed to be such - but the mechanics are solid and the soundtrack is incredible. Fun game.

I've "beat" CF or came in first on every track in a single play through. It can be fun if you get accustom to corners. The framerate makes turning difficult so you have to memorize the tracks to master it.

The desert track with the tunnel is a standout course. There was some potential in the game that was missed & this course is a good example IMO. I also really like how most of the tracks have something going on around the finish line: plane flying, blimp passing, giant penguin walking :)

I like the graphical style in this & Iron Soldier. Been meaning to pick up I-War which is Tron style game that looks similar with techno tunes.

Interesting @ Mystic Quest. I've been in the mood for a 16 bit JRPG. Might have to jump on once I confirm the save battery is working.

Yup. Best looking and probably the best playable Jaguar title. Checkered Flag looked a bit rough around the edges.
