What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Big bummer. My mom's had her info swiped twice, but luckily her credit card company picked up on it both times within minutes of the transactions (the purchases were all out of state and they called to confirm she hadn't gone off on vacation or something without telling them.) Despite all the leaks, I think some of the companies are getting a little better at picking up suspicious purchases, but I'd still keep an extra close eye on your bills. And if you're really worried, inform your bank and credit card companies that any non-game related purchase is to be immediately flagged as suspicious activity
I only have 1 debit card so it should be easy to spot if someone starts having a party on my dime  . At least this CSID monitoring they gave us access to should give me a heads up if anything goes wacky and there is coverage for up to $1,000,000 in fraudulent charges if anything should happen.

Apparently this happens pretty regularly since most of the regular carriers were joking that the most recent hack was just in time since their previous free year of identity theft protection was about to expire from the last time they got hacked  .

@Noise, I didn't know that. Even more interested now. Just DLed remaining episodes.

Yeah, overall a very screwy trial. His attorney didn't follow up with a few key folks (library girl & track buddies). There's something else there also. Wanting the billable hours for a retrial prehaps? Just odd.

I'm just avoiding it altogether from now on and going down to Bloomington / Normal and then East.
You know, I wonder if you can't find a hotel out one of the rail lines that leaves the city into the burbs. That way you can actually get to the hotel, and then you can just ride the train into the city and deal with it on-foot and via rail. That's probably what I'd do. Either that, or park in long-term parking near the airport or something and then take rail into the city to a hotel there.

A few years ago I spent Christmas on the Cape (Cape Cod) and it was maybe a 30-45 minute drive to a rail station and and we were able to hop into Boston to spend most of the day. It was pretty convenient.

Also, if you want to hit Cedar Point again some time, you should pay a visit to Cleveland. We're not too far away from Sandusky, and we have some great stuff to do here as well, including a fantastic art museum, one of the best orchestras in the US (like, top 5), a botanical garden and a natural history museum, all right close to each other. We also have the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame downtown and lots of sports options.

 - Someone hacked my netflix (from Australia). Even worse they watched some inappropriate stuff and made changes to the accounts. It looked very much like my boys may have been up to no good, so naturally I asked. Thank god I didn't accuse, because it turns out it was done from a PS4, which we don't currently own and on a traceable IP which wasn't ours.

Still, now I have to change all of my passwords and tighten up my security protocol. This will be fun for the holiday.

That's exactly what I suggested earlier. Almost every stop is a block or two away from a hotel. I would highly suggest taking the blue line from O'Hare to Jefferson Park. Plenty of cheap and nice places to stay.

Sorry about the hacking stuff Jp1. But wait... There's inappropriate stuff on Netflix? And here I am watching re-runs of Star Trek.

Inappropriate for my sons, and at least an eyebrow raised from the wife if I would watch it in the middle of the night without her knowledge.

I may take you up on that, Maru. My FIL still owns his place in Parma Heights too and we go out that way every other year. We did Cuyahoga NP in 2013, but haven't really done any of the commercial type stuff in Cleveland proper.

They have some pretty sketchy stuff on there sometimes. Hell they had Queen's Blade was on there for a long time which is borderline hentai :P . Plus there seem to be at least 3-4 movies a month added about sex slaves and various other mature stuff that you wouldn't really expect to see on a streaming service. I guess that's why they implemented "Kids" mode a while back.

Edit:

:P : Got pulled over for the first time today. Cop was obviously fishing for tickets which pissed me off.

So basically I was driving out my road when I noticed him speed up and get right on my ass. I looked down and was going the speed limit so I figured he was just in a rush and being a prick. He tailgated me for about one and a half miles before finally lighting me up. So we get pulled over and he walks up on my left side not realizing I'm in a right hand drive vehicle  . It was obvious he was fishing for tickets since the reasoning behind the stop was I didn't have my front license plate mounted on the front bumper since I kept forgetting to grab mounting screws at the store. Anyways the license plate was clearly displayed in the windshield and the one in the back is mounted, but he was looking for a reason to pull me over :P. He then swore that he didn't see my seat belt on when he initially pulled up behind me and he must have asked 5-6 times if I was sure I had been on the full time  . Anyways he wasted about ten minutes of my time trying to figure out something to ticket me on before finally letting me go.

They removed it a while back there is still plenty of other ecchi anime on there though. Currently they have Rosario + Vampire and Heaven's Lost Property both of which are pretty raunchy harem shows.

Plus there is plenty of stuff like Orange is the New Black which is pretty graphic  .
