Besides the enhanced visuals wrt the GB player as others have mentioned, I have read and seen a few image comparisons of folks saying that the Component out of a GC is slightly superior to that of the Wii with regard to GameCube games.
In fact I was just now watching the latest vid of this youtuber which talks about the difference in image clarity wrt to the various cable options on the GC.

Agreed. I struggled to find a good, working wireless controller for my Xbox, and Logitech's first generation of wireless Xbox controllers simply are not very good. Then, I got one of these:
Hmmmmm no consensus on if they're official. Most knock offs don't us the Sony logo.
Zero lag on those Logitech controllers? I have a wireless Pelican that is great for RPGS & strategy games but I feel a very slight lag in action orientated titles.
My favorite handheld is the PSP with the Gameboy SP coming in a close second. Well you can imagine my excitement when I traded my Mario Kart 64 and Ranma 1/2 snes for the limited edition Spongebob Squarepants Gameboy SP.
