Well it looks like I no longer can consider going all three days. My wife booked us to attend some sort of charity gala! Damnit! I am not the kinda guy who should be a fancy gala giving my money away! I am the kinda guy who should be at a video game convention giving my money away! Grrr..

I am thinking about still doing Saturday but tickets are like $100 just for the one day. Decisions decisions...

Sooo... 3 years later... game night anyone? I could host one Friday or Saturday day or night in May or June. I'm thinking pizza, wings, beer, and just chillin or possibly a night out for unlimited arcades at Joystix on the first friday night of the month would be cool. If we could have some out of towners come too that would be awesome!

Hobie, jmustang and I are all within 5 miles of each other. Who else might be interested in doing something soon? JoeAwesome, DreamcastDude, wip3outguy7, Jagosaurus, you guys still around?

It'd be awesome to meet up for one of the Texas get-togethers. It's about 4hrs from where I am (Dallas area) at the moment, which is a bit far, but maybe if I decide to spend some time in Austin this summer it'd be a bit more realistic? :|

I've done the Dallas to Houston drive and Dallas to Austin drive a hundred times so I know what you mean. But if you reallllly think about it. Its only an hour extra of driving. Totally doable and worth it as long as you are staying overnight. Got any other buddies in Houston you might want to see as part of the trip? That might make it a little bit easier and add another reason to come down. :)

Oh and you could buy a mystery box in person and save $10 off the price! Lol!

I'd be game. Are you guys all on the West side of town? I'm north but wouldn't mind driving over.

I have a newborn so I'll need a little notice :)

JoeAwesome is also in Houston at times for family. Worth recruiting him lol :P

this sounds good, there is also Neils Bahr that is gamer friendly with tvs w/ consoles and arcades.

I could also host as well.

ahhhh yeahhhh

No but really, i'll keep you posted. I have a friend that's moving to Houston for grad school in the summer, but I don't think that's until July. I'll give it a think, though.

Yup we are on the westside of town still. All near the Hwy 6/Clay Rd/Katy area. I've got a 15 month old so I'd need the notice too. Are there any weekends that stand out as being particularly good for anyone?

Okay, I'm in Spring so it's about 45 mins for me taking BW8 over. Don't mind the windshield time all. I do have a wedding mid May. Other than that, I look clear.

Still kicking around the city, but not the forums, as much. I'd love to meet up! Preferably a Saturday as I usually pass by on Friday nights, and in June (I work graduations in May, busy with Mother's Day, etc.).
