Favorite SEGA arcade games?

Zaxxon is one of the Sega games I would like to get for nostalgic purposes. Aside from that, I really want to get Crazy Taxi and Star Wars Arcade, more for the sake of "customers" than for myself but I still enjoy those games.

I currently have After Burner and certainly wouldn't mind getting more Yu Suzuki games.

If I were to get any single arcade cabinet from Sega, it would have to be either SCUD Race or Daytona 2.

The House of the Dead is still at my local movie theater. Played a bit today. Good times.

(On a side note, the Zaxxon talk reminded me that I have an ancient [and unfortunately untested] TRS-80 port of the game that I've been trying to sell for ages. Anyone who is interested PM me.)

The first HOTD? Another one of those games I played to such a sharp edge -- 1cc and just over 80K, saved everyone too. One of my finest personal achievements.

For me it would have to be Shinobi, Outrun and Afterburner and a special mention to Hang On. Seems like those 4 showed up the most around here at restaurants, corner stores and the many take out Chinese that litter the City. By the time HOTD started to show up this practice of having Arcade games at small establishments started to die. One of the reasons unfortunately was that kids would sneak out and totally into the game would get stuck up. Many removed them for this reason.

yeah, currently have 4 Neo Geo cabs, Zaxxon, Sky Shark, Centipede and my DK cocktail in my house. the Neo cabs belong to a friend of mine, and he just got moved into his new place, so i imagine they will be leaving soon. then i can replace them with projects from the garage.

I've only played Virtual On on the SS. Assuming that was that an arcade port as well? Very cool concept but controls were odd without twin sticks.

I was always surprised Streets of Rage & Panzer Dragoon didn't see arcade ports although they originated on consoles.
