Hey guy quick question,
I'm pretty sure the battery in my Sega CD is dead, as I am getting a format prompt each time I turn the system on with a game. It seems difficult to replace the battery, so I was wondering if I bought a backup ram cart, would that bypass this hard drive format prompt and allow me to save my games?
thanks

Re: Question about Sega CD Backup Ram Cart
Yuuup. You can bypass the internal RAM.
Just use reset on the system versus "off" to transfer from internal RAM to cart. Do the reverse when u boot up.
I did it for 2 years with no issues... just ensure the system is never off.
