People will recognize someone's old name, not a new one, so that can cause confusion. If someone does stuff in BST, fuck if I'm going to go through the effort to edit the feedback to say "© (the artist formerly known as Copyleft) >>> +23" and also all of the times people left feedback for you. If someone was a shitty trade partner they could try to hide by changing their name so that people associated the bad trades with the old name in their mind. "DC4Evar? No I'm PS14Lyfe".

Actually that can be a banable offense, depending on the conditions. We also don't let people have multiple accounts outside of special circumstances.

I was just pointing out that there are easier methods of skipping the whole bad feedback issue. Of course I'm not legitimately arguing for people switching names all the time for all the obvious reasons already given. Hobie's reason is valid as well when it comes to honest folks.

Are you going to go find every feedback message in the thread and convince all of those people to edit them to say the new name if you convince us to as well? It isn't like you named yourself Ilikethesmellofmyownfartsandlustaftermycousin or something, 8bit is a perfectly fine name to me and everyone knows that as you.
