Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Found a copy of PSX Lunar Silver Star Story Complete for $2.40 @ the thrift store.
Case, artwork, both game discs, & making of CD... all minty. Unfortunately no soundtrack or manual but for less than 3 bucks... great find.

Should note, the double disc case & case artwork... Didn't have the big cardboard box & art book. The OCD side of me wants to buy the music CD now

I found this on eBay, but I just had to post it. It holds 4x more memory than a standard SCD RAM Cart, and the battery can be changed without soldering a new one in.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
I just picked up a brand new copy of Pandora's Tower (Wii) for $20 from EB Games (Gamestop Canada). I don't generally pay that much for Wii games these days but this seemed like a pretty good deal for a game that will likely hold its value going forward. Xseed seems to publish really interesting games and they haven't let me down thus far.

That game is fun, and it uses the "time limit" convention in a new and interesting way. I highly recommend it.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Miss one week at City thrift quarter sale and people act like it isn't my turf.
But I was one the first in line and got to the display area. The woman running the display counter was new this week. She did not get a good hold of the ebb and flow of people requesting items. I was asking for the DJ Heros PS2 and PS3 with controller in box when the dude behind me asked for all the games in the display case. Dang missed out on Chronicles of Narnia GCN I wanted for my quantity based GCN collection but besides that nothing to right home about missing out on.
Then I saw a Casio CTK-450 was a quarter today. Snagged that up fast. It came with the power cord. Works fine and the only big cosmetic issue is part the plastic case broke of but is still stable so who cares.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
A week back from vacation and I'm already posting stuff. I clearly have problems (or good luck who knows)
Any-hoo, I stopped by KMart (shock!) and noticed they clearanced a couple more things:

New Super Mario Brothers - $21
WiiU Kit - $1
Stylus Kit - $1.50
Vita Starter Kit (w 4GB card) - $4
Vita Adapter - $3
Vita Car Adapter - $1.49
Vita Case - $2
Vita 8GB card - $6
If you can't tell, I'm clearly preparing myself for a Vita purchase. I don't know when it'll happen, but when it does I'll be sure to let everyone know so I can ask for tips.
Of course, I also found stuff at my favorite thift stores:

Red Dead Redemption, Fable II/III guides
-$2 each
Sly 2
Sly 3
Syndicate
Final Fantasy XIV
- $0.50-$1.50 each

Roller Coaster Tycoon 3
Morrowind
Tribunal
Shift 2
Dead Space
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
-$1-$1.50 each

Submarine 707 Revolution: The Movie - $1.50
Najica Box Set - $4
Game Boy Color (Kiwi) - $2
Dishonored Tarot Deck - $1
Then I noticed these sitting with the computers and picked them up for $13:

Locking case, Windows XP, 1GB RAM, 10 USB ports and what I'm sure was advertised as 120GB hard drive....
It's not much, but it's a step up from what I already have, plus it came in a heavy (HEAVY) duty case. The display in the front isn't working, but I can see and hear the fans working, so I'm going to have to open it up at some point and see what I can do. Other than that, it runs like a dream. Whoever donated it either whipped it clean beforehand or never used it for much more than playing DVDs. There is a program on there specifically for that, so I'm leaning towards the later and thinking that 'harold' (whomever that may be) was just a movie person.
But my favorite find of the week was....

Lunar Silver Star Harmony Complete - $1.50
Well, hot damn
I walked in on Tuesday morning and one of the regular workers spotted me and motioned me over to the counter where they'd just gotten a bunch of PS2 games. And right behind Sly 2 and 3 was the case for Lunar with all four discs: 2 game discs, The Making Of and Soundtrack. The manual/book was NOT present at the time, but for $1.50 I wasn't going to complain.
After work I stopped by again, as this is a store that puts stuff out all day long. I didn't see any more games while I was there, but I did need a fat 3-ring binder, so I meandered my way over to the office supply section and while I was back there something black and red and shiny caught my eye.
Imagine my surprise to find that book sticking out of a bucket of pens, pencils and post it notes. Best of all, the same regular worker who checked me out that morning recognized it from earlier and didn't charge me for it
She even told me she remembered the book coming in with all of the other Playstation stuff they'd received earlier. How it ended up in Office Supplies, though, is beyond me, but whatever.
