Will games be designed for both the circle pad pro AND the new stick?

Seems like they'd be fairly different IMO.

Probably not, I think they retired the old thing as no one was caring to use it. Smash Bros doesn't so we got people complaining who have it that it's a cash grab.

If that 2DS is being retired I'm shocked. IT's a hell of a budget alternative and a nice cushion from negligent parents whining about blinding their kids with the 3D you know they have no self control but to turn on when no ones looking.

It seems you are correct, sir.

I was confused by a "new" 3DSXL that wasn't a "NEW" 3DSXL. D'oh! So if I (a relatively well-informed video game enthusiast) am confused by the name scheme, how is Granny Ethel going to figure out which gameboy to buy her grandson this Christmas?

And god forbid certain Nintendo tapes don't work in the Nintendo.

And yet there's parental controls on the normal 3ds where you could disable the 3d last I checked

Eye roll unnecessary. Let's think how often people don't read manuals. Be serious, think how many are just that lazy but willing to blame someone else in todays society.

I think it was a myth that the 3D actually blinds kids or causes eye damage

I used parental controls to disable the 3D. It's a feature I feel is useless. The only thing I don't like is that I have to push a extra button to launch my game because it'll ask if I want to enable 3D. The agony!

The recent Moon Chronicles release supported either the stylus controls (a la the original DS release) or the circle pad. Will be interesting to see how they program the next episodes & planned sequel. Much needed in a FPS IMO.

I actually imported the pro pad XL for 3 titles: Moon Chronicles, Metal Gear, & RE Revelations. Considering it was only $20, worth it IMO.

If that Moon package ever ends up on a game card I'll be there when it hits retail. I've kept an eye on that one, but never did realize it did run that. I did have both the other games, but MGS I couldn't get into, the other I ditched and ended up later having the WiiU release.
