I've been trying to pick up a few of the later DS releases I think will become hard to find or will cost a fair bit in the future whilst they;re cheap.
Three I've ordered recently:
Solatorobo: Red the Hunter
Maestro: Jump In Music
Learn With Pokémon: Typing Adventure (including bluetooth keyboard)
Others on my list to pick up include:
Retro Game Challenge
Pokémon Conquest
Okamiden
Radiant Historia
Any other obvious choices people think I'm missing?
Pokemon Conquest from what I've seen has been difficult to find. Okamiden not so much. Radiant Hystoria's original release with the soundtrack is without a doubt a collectors item but the reprint without the soundtrack is climbing in price.
As far as others I'd target Atlus published games, main series Pokémon games, and Megaman Zero series. That last one has been quite rare for me as ZX series was difficult to track down a few years ago.
I own at least one entry in all the pokémon series, and I don't expect them to increase in price really (although they'll likely hold it fairly well).
Megaman Zero Collection was one I was considering too actually.
Atlus games are a bit tricky, because they're very rarely published in Europe. I'm only really after the more notable imports there

I wasn't considering 3DS stuff yet either.
bah! My bad. I tend to jump lump the 2 systems together these days, sorry haha.
Still a good point on those though noise. Several DS LE box sets with CDs & such. Radiant Historian & Ys Books both had LE first print runs. Sure several of RPGs did as well.
This thread needs more love! There are so many quality games on the DS, especially RPGs.
Super Robot Taisen OG Saga is one of the most valuable games currently, if Ebay listings are any indication. I got my copy for 9.99 years ago and it's actually a really good game.

I think cart only copies were going for around $50 and CIB copies are going over $100 last time I looked. Got lucky and nabbed a copy for $23 at game stop a month or two back. Looks like two more popped up within 100 miles of me recently. Going to my moms tomorrow and one just happens to be at a store along the way might swing by there.
My ds side really needs some love though too. For some odd reason I dropped off after gba thanks to me not getting a ds until years later after the lite had come out and ds i was getting ready to come out. I only have 3 true rpg's on the system that I know of and that's sad. I almost wonder if chibi robo will go up in price. I picked that up on the cheap at gs, and love it(just wish it was complete).
@retro I'm scared to see what that game goes for especially because I wouldn't be shocked if the summon night spinoff that landed on ds is climbing too...after all I do think atlus published it if that's any indication

Summon Night: Twin Age can be had for $40 sealed on Ebay, but barring a reprint, I think that one could skyrocket in a few years time too. It's going to be interesting to see what kind of effect all these reprints are going to have on the collector's market for a lot of these DS games, especially all the Atlus stuff. Natsume is another company to watch out for, and I'm not sure if they've been reprinting any of their stuff, so grabbing those games now may be something to think about.
