Re: RPG Progress Report
Would have been clever as shit if you had though
So, I'm half-tempted to go through this thread to see how many RPGs I've started but not finished. Instead I'll just start playing BoF V. Have high hopes for this one.

Legend of Dragoon
Defeated the Uroborous monster and reached Bale.
Tales of Phantasia
Yup, still playing it, although not as much. Working on the Cavern of Spirits.

Re: RPG Progress Report
That is definitely one I mean to work through soon as i get a few other rpgs and various other games off my backlog. i have a repro for it on snes just haven't played it as much as I would like as of right now. I keep distracting myself with other games i've gotten to "make sure they work" but it always turns into a several hour gameplay if not moreTheSSNintendo wrote: Tales of Phantasia

Mission 15 of 38 in Ghost Recon Shadow Fall. Most of my characters right at level 10. Game is really picking up now.

Re: RPG Progress Report
So I started playing Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii and so far, this is where I am.
I may not be that far along in the story, but I am very much engaged in the side-missions. There seems to be a lot of character to the citizens of the city and everyone seems to have a interesting, albeit small, story. I realized how much I appreciate the little things like the relationship web in the game and seeing how the missions I accomplish affect the web. It seems silly, but it is a nice added touch.
These missions also really help to show how the citizens change over time. You can really see a progression and arc of story for each person, which I find to be a nice bonus and incentive to keep doing them.
Funny thing is, I've gotten to level 18 in the game and never once have I upgraded any of my skills. I didn't know I could until just now while fiddling with the menus! I haven't had any problems, so I never felt the need!

If you like those aspects, it gets much cooler later on with one of the unique colonies.

Ys
Defeated the first boss and have entered the basement of the temple.
The DS port doesn't allow you to enter the mines before you're "supposed to." It's kind of silly, this is an old school RPG - exploring uncharted territory and getting your ass kicked is part of the charm.

Near the end of FFX, just have "Sin" to go through I believe.
What's the easiest way to level up a bit and get Anima, Magus Sisters, etc? Omega Ruins? That's kind of all I want to do before completing it. I've felt a bit burned out on it so I don't want to go too crazy with the monster capturing and arena or something.
I guess I missed a missable Al Bhed Primer.
