I should play Dawn of Ys. Loved Wanderers, but could not stand Oath, so my Ys streak was halted.
O_o

You didn't like Oath!?

I liked Oath from what I've played of it. More enjoyable than the SNES version.

Playing Final Fantasy V (GBA) on the GB player. I've played thru at least half the game before so I have some idea what I'm doing.

Preparing to enter world 2. I missed just two Blue spells but I can get them later on. Characters around level 22. Jobs are Mystic Knight level 5 (Bartz & Faris) and White Mage level 6 (Lenna). I'm gonna switch my M. Knights to Ranger again to master that (Rapid Fire ftw) and then switch Lenna to another mage cause I don't need to master W. Mage this early in the game.

I plan on replaying FFV relatively soon. Before the year is out. I'd like to play II, III, and IV first though.

V is decent but I vastly prefer IV and VI (duh). I was never in love with the job system, it feels like a lot of micromanagement.

In the ice caverns of Ys II.

I've never put more than 60 hours into a single playthrough of a game. Don't know how you guys do it.

Oh boy....even though it's not a rpg I garuntee before I'm done i'll have put more than 60 hours into Katamari Damancy. I guarantee if i actually sat down I'd really put 60 hours into a rpg. But that would be for the 100% completion....or at least as close as I could get...

Really? Not even something you wanted to 100%?

I started Dragon Warrior 3 on the GBC. Got to Romany and met the king. Loved making my own party up. It means that the story is less involved but it works wonders for the gameplay. It's like we've been saying in this thread about FF1, when these games are stripped back to just having you and a world map it seems somehow more involving.

Actually, I probably went over 60 when playing DQVII but that's about it.

FFVII and some of the Tales games are close @ 50+.

Dragon Warrior III is amazing.

I've been in the mood to play classic JRPGs lately... Series like Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, Ys, Mana... The classics are the best.
