Ha! If these become worth a lot in 10 yrs you can all joke with me about passing. Look @ this stack @ Wal Mart for $99.

In all seriousness... think it'll be the next top loader or SNES mini?

Can it be modded? NO, can it play GCN games NO, can it go online, NO. sure its like the SNES Mini, but it really lacks, and its not like Wii's with GCN compatibility are rare.

I'll be back in 10 years.

P.S. it doesnt have Component support, or a SD card slot.

yeah I knew it's deficiencies. The no RGB or svid on the SNES mini sucked @ the time to a certain crowd. The fact this is expanded on the Wii mini to not only video out but online play & backwards compatibility... could actually add to the rarity if you think about it.

Aesthetically, I'll admit it's a clean looking console. Most new TVs are HDMI in only... very surprised this model is composite only.

See you in 2024!

Mario Kart version isn't going to be too rare. That I know of the original NTSC bundle did stay Canada only.

I saw these today on sale for $89.99. If the price gets much lower, I'll buy one on principle.

I might buy only if it drops to fifty bucks, but strictly as a small Car Show unit with the Composite to the Car LCD. Thankfully it still has Classic Controller support for PS2 Mayflash adapters for Arcade Controllers.

All the cost strip downs except for WiFi can be forgivable, but a really big goof up by Nintendo for not including Component for at least 480p in today's era of HD TVs.

I like the look of the Wii Mini but that's the only good thing about it. Seriously Nintendo only Composite video, you know this isn't the 90's right?

It is a striking design IMHO, so it might be worth something in that sense. No one minds that Color TV Game 6 doesn't have 480p- they buy it for the novelty, industrial design, historical significance, etc. But I haven't bought one. $100 is still too much to have it "just because". I think Nintendo kind of wiffed the Wii Mini. I'm OK with taking out the WiFI as they probably new Gamespy was about to go under, anyway. I'm OK with the SD card removal since it is a gigantic hacking vector at this point. But they should have figured out a way to get HDMI in there and they should have done fresh prints of all the Nintendo Selects games to market along side the Mini.

I love top loaders, but the no component ruined it for me when this came out. The Wii has compromised enough graphics as it already is Nintendo.
