I hope you enjoy it. The RPG mechanics aren't great, but it is unique, uproariously funny, and very fun.isiolia wrote:Started the Stick of Truth last night, after playing some Reaper of Souls earlier in the week.

I've enjoyed it so far, outside of a bug I ran into during one of the tutorials.

Get used to those. (I have read about some late-game, game-breaking bigs; so, just to be safe, I back up my save at each major interval in the game.)isiolia wrote:I've enjoyed it so far, outside of a bug I ran into during one of the tutorials.

Argh. Golvellius uses giant ass passwords instead of a battery save. I must have recorded one improperly and thus can't proceed any further. That's hours of progress down the tubes. Quite discouraging. I really don't want to restart so I'm putting this one on hold for awhile.
I have decided to replay an RPG that I enjoy quite a bit. You may have heard of it. It's called Final Fantasy.

Hrm Golvellius passwords sound like the gold level password for golden sun to golden sun 2 password....now don't tell me that's a pain in the butt XD especially because it makes some things easier especially since I did try getting all the dijinn from the first one but it makes things off balance until you get the ones missing from the second game...BoneSnapDeez wrote:Argh. Since I'm a game hoarder collector, I have multiple GBAs and link cables. So I was able to use that method to transfer the Golden Sun data. I did take a look at the password though, it was quite intimidating.
It's all a moot point anyway since I never got around to playing part 2.

The gold level password that transfers everything over in Golden Sun is 260 characters long. Each character can be on of over 40 different symbols too.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Since I'm a game hoarder collector, I have multiple GBAs and link cables. I'm hoping these are all patched up in time for the Steam Summer saleprfsnl_gmr wrote:Get used to those. Honestly that's the only thing I hate about the game...otherwise it's a great rpg and i need to replay it one day...especially since I have the original and lost age. Along with the ds game as well. I still have never gotten around to playing fully through the ds game though...alienjesus wrote:The gold level password that transfers everything over in Golden Sun is 260 characters long. The DS game is average. One element really annoyed me. You pick your parties attacks/magic & youre ready to kick back & enjoy that round of the battle right?darsparx wrote:Honestly that's the only thing I hate about the game...otherwise it's a great rpg and i need to replay it one day...especially since I have the original and lost age. Noooo. You have to press A to trigger each move. Meaning in one battle, you can be pressing A 15-20 times. There was no reason for this. Got VERY annoying in a 40 hour RPG. I must've hit A 10,000 times during battle sequences, not in the menus.
Where GS GBA battle like this?
Best thing about the game were the summons & great battle animations. Not terrible, but not a great game.
