MARCH:

UPDATE 3/22/14 Purchases:
SATURN:
Shining the Holy Ark (CIB) ... FINALLY!

GENESIS:
Jungle Book (CIB with poster)

Snagged both of these at a local game shop. I've been hunting Holy Ark pretty hard for about four years. I've lost ebay auctions and avoided a few craigslist ads for too high. This copy was in the shop for a week and hadn't gained much interest so the store owner and I cut a deal. Game, case, manual, artwork all in collector shape. I threw in Jungle Book at the last minute as a bonus. This is why I enjoy working with reasonable store owners... he wanted to move inventory and make a repeat customer happy. In the end, I added another RPG to my 2014 playlist & snagged a game I've been hunting for some time :)

Had a huge week this week.

First off, Fragems tipped us off to the Tekken Hybrid Collectors Edition getting marked down to $15, so I picked that up. Then I took a bunch of trade fodder to a local retro game store and was able to pick up a bunch of great games that I've been wanting. Lastly, I went to a few GameStops with intentions of looking for cheap (i.e. $5 or less games), a had some great success. They are selling all of their used PS2 games for 75% off, then you get the 10% off if you're a power up member. Here is my list for this week. I've dabbled in the Dreamcast this month, snagging some decent lots when the going's right. Noise and I have been on a kick and I've been playing my Dreamcast very avidly. I think it's the only console I'll truly want to get a complete collection for. Here's what I got this month.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva 2nd PSP - £19.71
Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney 3DS - £31.85
Total: 4 games: £81.54

4 games this month, but quite a high total anyhow.

Project Diva f was bought off the back of the demo, which I really loved. I absolutely adore the game, and the 6 extra song pack was a no-brainer download for me. Shame it's download only on Vita, but I'm massively excited about the release of Project Diva f 2nd on cartridge in the west later this year.

Danganronpa is a game my girlfriend really wanted to play as she's been enjoying Virtues Last Reward by the same developer, so she bought it. It wasn't really 'free' per se, but it didn't cost me anything

Project Diva 2nd (not to be confused with the aforementioned Project Diva f 2nd) is a Japan only PSP game in the Project Diva series. I loved f so much that I ordered that one. There are 2 more I intend to pick up sometime too - Project Diva, and Project Diva Extend.

Prof Layton vs Phoenix Wright breaks my Vita combo for the month. Been waiting on this one a long time, can't wait to get stuck in.

Next month: No new releases I want next month, but I'm still debating picking up FFX HD on Vita. I might try and catch up on some 3DS and Wii stuff I've missed too (Theatrhythm, Luigis Mansion, Bravely Default, NSLU and Sonic Lost World for example). I need to pick up Ikaruga sometime for Together Retro in a few months too though.
