How Long is Your Drive/Commute to Work?

Post by Jagosaurus »

Thought it'd be interesting to see how long (time & mileage) everyone's drive is.

Currently I drive 30 miles, about 45 mins.

We're building a house that is still roughly 30 miles but will cut my drive down to 35 mins thanks to where it sits related to the highway. That'll be nice.

My previous job was about 20 mins. DEFINITELY worth the extra 25 mins to be in a job I enjoy.

I drive about 30 minutes each way. My drive on my old job was only about 8 minutes, so the new drive I have is pretty crappy. Plus, I'm spending a ton more on car maintenance and gas.

I drive about 5 min each way. It is nice considering I get about 16mpg  . We are planning on moving though. And I am contemplating a career change so I am not sure how long the commute will be after the next year

My current commute can vary between 30 min to an hour and 15-30 depending on time/traffic. It is about 26-30 miles depending on the route I take.

I have a six minute commute. It takes me longer to walk from my car to my office, and vice versa, than it does for me to drive to and from work.

40-60 minute depending 100% on construction traffic, 48 miles. Though this is not uncommon for where I live.

My drive use to be 30-45 minutes for 18 miles, gogo Atlanta...

About 35 minutes in the morning, more like an hour in the evening unless I leave work late. Hurray for the terrible planning of I-5 through Seattle.

Hear, hear. I've got similar problems due to I-5, about an hour each way, even with a carpool.

~45 seconds. Just enough time to put on some shorts, turn on the coffee maker, and hit the space bar to wake up my computer.
