Harold Ramis, the man who played Egon in Ghostbusters and directed many popular 80's movies has passed away.

This sucks because I still want a Ghostbusters sequel!

Lets see what happens next.

Man I didn't wanna believe it :cry:

If the new GB movie was ever to come out, I was looking forward to a few more scientific one-liners out of him as he passed the torch.

Sigh, gonna watch GB tonight with a heavy heart and a tear in my eye.

There's no way it will have the charm or live up to the others, especially after all this time. Better to leave it with fond memories of being great instead of ruining it like Indiana Jones 4, Matrix 2 & 3, Everything Highlander after the original movie, etc.

Wow. Huge GB fan & loved his role in Orange County as the Dean of Standford admissions. Funny guy.

He died this morning (2/24). The hoax claimed that he dies on Saturday (2/22), and the agent confirmed he was alive on Sunday (2/23). The timing of the hoax is a bit strange, but nothing in the linked article is actually inconsistent with today's reports of Mr. Rami's death.
