@ Luke... first person I fired was a lady older than me... being a guy, I didn't have any tissues in my office. Mistake...

She did one of those auto-term offensives & lied about it. Had send her home, do my HR paperwork, then call her up to work to fire her.... then I had no tissues danggit! Never fun but has to be done in some cases unfortunately.

:D We might end up in a house next Friday! My family met with some people about a house (IIRC it's three miles south of the WalMart in Clermont). It's a four-bedroom place (I'll get my own room, though I had no qualms about crashing on the couch until I left for NYC).

:( Because I'll have to contribute a fair share to the bills (I think they said that rent's gonna be $1100 per month, and there's also water, electric, and my brother's thinking about getting a bundle from Bright House), saving for NYC will be much harder. After I sell a lot of my shit, I'll still be at best halfway there (my budget's $3000), and with what I'm getting at Walt Disney World, if I'm able to give $100 a week (I get paid every Thursday), then I'll basically have just enough to cover my groceries and miscellaneous spending.

:| Grandma's going back to North Carolina. She just doesn't like living down here and she doesn't really know any other people. While she does get on my nerves a lot (to the point of genuinely pissing me off), I still love her and just want her to be happy.

Good luck with the house dood. Keep stackin'.

:| Duke fell the fuck apart in the 2nd half. Once Paige started being able to work off screens, we were done. It seemed like we could barely figure out their defense, and then if we would get a shot it was Brick City. Yeah, UNC went to the line a lot, but it mainly comes down to how they outplayed us 2nd half. Dammit. Oh well, next play.

:D Got a gift of Dead Island: Epidemic, which is a MOBA style game set in the Dead Island universe. Don't know how it will play out, but it will be nice to get a peek at this game before it is released to the public.

:D Got some imaginary boiled peanuts as a gift from S1mplehumar this morning, which makes things even better!

Yup. It's called an exit interview.

Weird day so far. My pup woke me up at 3am to go outside, and I never really went back to sleep. Kind of in and out of sleep from 3 to 5am, and at 5 I had the strongest craving for a cola. I rarely drink soda, but I was straight up fiending for an ice cold fizzy sweet cola. So I drove over to Wal-Mart with a pocket full of change and quenched my thirst.

Again, weird.

Ticked - Since we had a tornado appear north of us last night, we have to check the roof tonight for lost shingles. Next house I buy will have a tin roof, no more of this shingle crap.

Smile - Metroid mod for Spleunky:

And tomorrow we are hopefully going to be able to get into the inner workings of that camper.

Update time! Haven't in awhile, sorry.

Smile: We're finally out of the hospital post transplant for a bit. They did a bone marrow chimerism study and they say that her bone marrow is 91% donor, which is good. Other numbers are a lot lower than they hoped, so it's sort of a wait and test/see situation. She has a blood chimerism test on Monday and we'll see if that says anything at all.

We got into the Ronald McDonald House, which seemed like it was going to be impossible (they just seemed really booked), but something opened at the last minute. It is spacious and very nice. 2 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, and large living area.

We also got Moira on long term insurance with Medicaid because she had a hospital stay of 30-days or more! Which means we can use that as secondary insurance, plus they pay for housing, so the housing will be close to free. Such a relief.

Frowns: I have a couple, but they are minor compared to the awesomeness above. The bed at RMHC is absolutely terrible. It is one of those sleep number beds that has settings of "Sleeping on a rock" -> "Sleeping on a deflated balloon, on top of a rock." Probably the worst sleep I've ever had. I have a foam-memory mattress topper that I'll try and if that doesn't work, I'm bringing a bed down, cause I just can't sleep on this.

Second frown is there may be a rodent problem there. Hopefully we won't have to leave as they fumigate or something, cause I feel like we just got settled.

Good news Stark!

 Well got a call from Comcast today about an overdue account. Supposedly someone in a small town over an hour away opened up an account in my name and social and ran up a $500+ bill in PayPerView. So now I had to get police to come over and fill out an identify theft report, fill out a form and get notarized, and send it in with proof of residence. It seems like no one cares, and the onus is on me to clear my name, and not necessarily to find the offender.

No idea... They know the service address. So who knows if they still live there or not. It seems a dumb thing to try to steal.
