Well it's a lot different than SNES Lufia II. It's redone in the style of an action-RPG. It's certainly worth playing both.

Lufia is a really underrated series.

Totally agree here. Lufia II is criminally unknown among SNES RPGs but had some amazing dungeon design.

Plus, you gotta give massive credit for their tradition of having an epic theme for the final dungeon, and the same one each time:

Laugh out loud funny at times too. "Men in battle do not need women! My love is my sword!" "Lets..... leave him alone for a while..."

*adds Lufia series to already massive list of RPGs to play*

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey hasn't been mentioned yet.

My first foray into a non-Persona SMT game and I really liked it. Not for the faint of heart.

Can't say enough about DQV.

I wanted to clap at the ending cut scene... no joke.

The DS version of Chrono Trigger is probably my favorite. It's just perfect.

Lufia is AWESOME. Love the combat system and voiced characters. Highly recommended.
