What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Well, my girlfriend isn't a big fan of crap films, so I suppose I shouldn't have gotten her to watch The Killer Elite, one of Sam Peckinpah's worst films. James Caan is a government assassin who gets crippled by former partner Robert Duvall. Now Caan has to fight ninjas and Duvall with the help of Paulie from Rocky along with Burt Reynold's sidekick in White Lightning, all while protecting a Japanese/Chinese Vulcan(seriously, the film doesn't seem to realize Japan and China are different countries) and his 18-year-old daughter, who makes sure to inform us she is still a virgin.

Apparently Peckinpah discovered cocaine at the beginning of production. Apparently he spent most of the film doing cocaine during production. Apparently he had an overdose toward the end of production.

It shows.

Is it ok to watch Serenity without watching Firefly first?

Mmmm... you'll miss out on some important characterization.

I am not going to lie, I watched Serenity in theaters before seeing a single episode of Firefly, nor knowing ANYTHING about the characters.

Yes, you will miss out on some things, but no, it does not ruin the experience. I still felt the emotions that pulse through you as the story progresses and encouraged me to see the show that is for sure!

And some events will have a lot more impact having seen the show first. Since Fox are jerks and killed it quickly, the series isn't long. Just go ahead and watch that too, it's worth it.

I'm currently watching Donny Darko for the first time. I also noticed for the first time that Seth Rogen is in everything.

Finished Darko! I have almost no idea what happened during that movie but I enjoyed every second of it. 3.5/5! It would have gotten higher score if i understood what was going on. I want to watch the sequel S Darko but it's not on netflix and I can't stream it. :C

Loved that movie. Was one of those movies that kept me thinking and it clicked with me. Was one of those movies that I completely understood but everyone else in the family was like WTF did we just watch.

Another kind of out there time/space movie with Jake Gyllenhaal is Source Code. Been a long time since I watched it but I've been meaning to check it out again. Caught a bit of it the other day on FX while surfing channels.
