What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

John Paul Henson died. He was Sweetums' muppeteer, all around good guy.
Oh, good for your dog then. I know you had been posting about some health issues lately and I got worried.

Sad for the Henson family though.

Rest in Peace John Henson.

I was watching (his brother) Brian Henson's program Dinosaurs on Netflix last night. It was a subversive '90s family sitcom in the vein of the Jetsons or the Simpsons. The puppets from Jim Henson's Creature shop exude with life.

I really appreciate that TSTR. Ripley did have to go to the vet last week as one of her eyes was rolled back in to her head, but the eye drops we're using seem to be helping. She's thirteen after all, she's old and she won't be around forever.

John's death makes my heart ache. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, 10 and 16 years of age. Unpredictable life is.

Life is indeed unpredictable.

Just heard a friend of mine from back in the day died in a car crash after a police chase. Shitty.

It's... beautiful. Cannot WAIT to have the ability to do this to other systems. Now I just need to get one of those no-separate-power-required USB drives, like 250 gigs or so, so that I can throw the entire discography in there... Probably will have to do some converting too, I think it requires ISOs and Trurip does bin/cue... easy enough to do though.
Who modded it for you? Saw one eBay (expensive!) but looked interesting...
I had Stone Age Gamer do the install for me. It definitely was expensive, but retro gaming is my hobby so I can let myself indulge from time to time. PLUS (and I don't know if this was intentional or not), I was able to use one of the 15% off coupons that I previously had from flash cart purchases there. Being that they specifically block using those coupons on flash carts, I was kinda surprised it worked for the USB mod and install, but I certainly wasn't complaining.... however, YMMV. I know when it came In Stock, it said there were 7 units available so I don't know if anyone else tried it and if he will continue honoring coupons on it.

But yeah. I dunno, stuff like this is like crack to me. They could do a USB mod for a freaking CDi and I'd get mine done. Lasers are gonna die eventually, and on the less popular systems they're not necessarily going to be an easy fix.
Thanks for the info. Did it matter which model of the system you submitted for the mod?

 Some of my friends got a creepy call with a similar message in each call, similar voice but different number from each. I found out the provider and location of the number but no name, from one of the calls my friend got. One of the calls was from Angola apparently while another was from Grand Prairie.

Edit: I just got the call too. It was weird.

edit: It was a prank, I stayed on the line and the person couldn't keep it up. It was a kid who had moved several years ago that has my number and the others.
