Re: What else do you collect?
I used to collect comics but I stopped sometime after college. I kept my favorite issues of Iron Man and some graphic novels and trade paperbacks but that's about it.
I got a few robot figures but that was never a serious collection for me.
For a while I was buying a lot of DVDs but the age of digital streaming sort of put an end to that for me. I still buy my absolute favorite movies though.

BOOKS. I mostly collect things related to occult spirituality/Western Esotericism. I have most works by Aleister Crowley, including a set of The Equinox volume I. I have translations of grimoires, full-color reproductions of old manuscripts, art book by the likes of Austin Osman Spare, alchemical texts... all kinds of interesting stuff! Many of my books are very limited and become difficult to find once they're out of print and they're rarely acquired by libraries, so I end up with a pretty sizable collection!
COMICS. I have every single issue of a Sonic the Hedgehog comic published in the United States. Including the promotional pre-Archie one and variant covers! I mostly buy independent titles or things by writers I like. I think the largest series in my collection are Hellboy/BPRD, Usagi Yojimbo, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. (None of those are complete, but I have lots!)
VIDEOS. I have a lot of DVDs and a decent number of Blu-Rays plus a few VHS tapes... but a couple years ago I started taking an interest in LASERDISCS and those are the things I'd say I collect the most. I especially love obscure old anime titles. I have all of the second Magical Princess Minky Momo series, Nurse Angel Ririka SOS, the first series of Sailor Moon, a bunch of obscure OVA/movie titles, and some less obscure things like Z Gundam, the 1980 Tetsuwan Atom (Astro Boy), and even stuff like Urotsukidoji (yes, it's horror/hentai).
MUSIC. I don't really make an effort to BUILD A COLLECTION but I have a lot of it? Tapes, CDs, records... I think 45s are the most "fun" of any format.
TOYS. The only type of toy I'm concerned with collecting are Tokidoki figures. I have most of the "Cactus Friends" series. I also have a bunch of tin robots and anime ladies though! And some monster guys! WOAH BOY!
CARDS. I don't really actively collect much these days, but I have some binders full of trading cards I think are neat. And I used to play "Cardfight Vanguard" and would get back into that if I had people to play with.
...yeah, I'm trying to wean myself off of rampant consumerism. I haven't bought a toy in a long time and I try not to buy other things as indiscriminately as I used to.

This is a close one for me. I don't collect trading cards, but on any given day I have at least a dozen sealed decks of playing cards. I'm a raging pokerholic and can go through a half dozen decks in one night as I believe my lucky deck is always a new deck.Nemoide wrote: CARDS.
Anytime I see a deck I don't already own or have thrown away (I throw away lots of decks), I usually purchase it for future play. And that goes for silly themes like Nascar, Scooby-Doo and so on.

I collect all thing Spawn. I have every movie( live action and animated), every series of the comics completed, and a whole slew of action figures. I am currently on the hunt for some of the larger posters but they are hard to track down.
I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)
Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping!

I've collected alot of stuff rocks, coins, stamps, etc. About the only things I collect now are games though. Last thing I really got into collection outside of games was military related items. Have a couple of WW2 uniforms, training manuals, and etc in a giant trunk in my closet. Might have some pictures stored around here somewhere will post the more interesting stuff. Probably my favorite things are my grandfather's uniform and the Arisaka Type 99 rifle he brought back.

I collected Blackhawk Knives and Pokemon cards. I stopped within the past few years truthfully because I needed to draw the line somewhere.
I've always collected currency with my pops. I've been hording the Eisenhower Dollar coins as of late.

Re: What else do you collect?
My main collecting obsession right now is blu-rays. I've absolutely fallen head over heels for the format, its amazing. You wouldn't believe some of the rare ones I've got now. I'm actually in the middle of converting my main game shelf to a blu-ray shelf (or at least a BD/Graphic Novel shelf), and couldn't be happier.
My sizeable comic collection (mostly Marvel) has been mainly built just by going out every week and picking up new issues for the last 2 years or so, and buying various back issues in bulk. I'm trying to avoid spending too much on this though, and pursue TPB's instead. My rarest individual issues are Werewolf by Night #32, #33, Amazing Spider-man #194, and a #1 Hack/Slash (DDP) signed by Tim Seeley. It's just too space consuming for me right now.
I also have a lot of Buffy memorabilia. I'm not actively seeking out more, however.

DVDs and Blu-Rays. If I like a movie or TV show, I like to own a physical copy of it. Partly because I like collecting, but also to support what I consider worthwhile programming.
I tried getting into comic collecting a year or two ago, but there's just too much. I can't afford to buy four different copies of every comic issue, and then the compilation book later on. And some series just never seem to end...

Laserdisc and HD DVD's, need there be any other hobbies LOL.
Just started collecting Anime, got about 30 shows now. Certain toys from when my kid was young. Strat guides if you want to call it different from games. Oh yeah, TV shows on DVD in general. Some are:
Twilight Zone original only, remakes blow
Married w/Children
Sanford and Son
Original Outer Limits
Lost in Space
and many others...
I should start an 50-60's SciFi appreciation thread.
