Yeah, I was a bit surprised when I didn't have the standard issue FPS weapon view, so I thought, would this really be an FPS without the obligatory weapon in the corner? Fortunately, it still looks like one and plays like one, so it is
Half the time you're always in weapon zoom mode anyway, so I can let it slide.

I've been playing levels of Gun Commando between grading papers. Floaty and basic, but a nice homage to early games in the genre. The mechanic of good accuracy = improved gun is really well implemented. Plus it is free on PSN right now....
Great stuff, the boss battles were more tedious than fun I'd say though. I mean, I love when bosses make a mark, but damn a few moments here and there just went on for way too long. Hopefully they fixed that a little in 3.
The most intense/fun part for me was probably the push to the Visari Palace at the very end, that was easily 10x more fun and better than the "boss fight" after. Was this possibly the only spot in the game that did have infinite spawning enemies until you pushed forward? I couldn't tell. That's one thing I completely hated about CoD4/MW2 and any other shooters that have that kind of design, but never did it feel unbalanced in Killzone 2. There were often a LOT of enemies, but you could take them all down. I just wasn't sure about that final push though if that were the case or not, but it was awesome.
I wonder how many bullets were fired. Overall, I'd compare this a bit to Vanquish. It's just nonstop bullets to the face, and somehow it just works.
10 hrs into Bioshock Infinite, and I'm pretty sure it's one of my favorite FPS games ever. Up there with Half-Life. I'll reserve my full thoughts until I've beaten it, but I honestly think it's amazing and even had a dream about it last night.
Well I just installed stalker soc last night so hopefully I'll start playing that soon if the coil whine from my graphics card doesn't make me want to quit.

Guess what it only gets better.
I had it in my hands last night, but never got to playing with it...
Bioshock Infinite
