Seems strange, yeah. Fantastic game, regardless. I'd probably pay up to 30 for it, so this may be one of the rare instances where my expectations, and the price of a rare game match up.
If only it were the same for Faselei! I used to have it, and paid around £80, like new, boxed etc. I enjoyed it, but still don't think it was worth that much. Box art was cool, though.

I really enjoyed Beast buster a few years back. Horror themed Zelda type game.

Whoa- i just took a casual look at ebay UK for Biomotor Unitron- seems to be going for £20-30. Then a PAL version of Evolution for £130??? WTF.
Re: Neo Geo Pocket Color Game Recommendations
Biomotor Unitron was released in all three regions early on in the handheld's life as an attempt to cash in on Pokemon.dust_hound wrote:Whoa- i just took a casual look at ebay UK for Biomotor Unitron- seems to be going for £20-30. Then a PAL version of Evolution for £130??? WTF.
But the Evolution port was released late, with a smaller print run, and only in the UK and Japan. The UK is the only English version, so you're now looking at the effects of both the NTSC-U and the PAL markets fixating on them. That's what causes the spike in prices.

Surely the Evolution dungeons aren't randomly generated like the DC games, correct?Ack wrote:Biomotor Unitron was released in all three regions early on in the handheld's life as an attempt to cash in on Pokemon.dust_hound wrote:Whoa- i just took a casual look at ebay UK for Biomotor Unitron- seems to be going for £20-30. I haven't played it myself, but my understanding is that the NGPC game is basically a demake of the original. There's an article on HG101 that would fill us in though.Jagosaurus wrote: Surely the Evolution dungeons aren't randomly generated like the DC games, correct?

Ah, i see, i see.
TBH, i never actually enjoyed Evolution on DC much, so i'm glad that i'm not collecting for NGPC.
Most i ever paid for a game was Panzer Dragoon Saga which, whilst a great game, wasn't really worth the £150 i paid at the time. Lesson learned!
