Post by Jagosaurus »

Will we be getting this beast of a collector's edition State side as well? Just watched an unboxing on YouTube, thing is awesome.

Looks cool, but I think I'll just get the regular edition of this game. I'd be bankrupt if I got the CE of every game I was into.

Didn't realize it was up already.

"Bundle includes the game, an art book, a soundtrack CD and 34 augmented-reality cards."

Looks like we're missing out on the figure and giant box? Seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p99RkOJ ... ata_player

Seems like our version will be similar to the Atlas SMTIV bundle.

Lmao I skimmed through it. The guy's sarcasm cracked me up when he got to the no manual part of the giant box within 26 min video.

Seriously, these CEs with no manuals don't make much sense.

Hmm, think I might pick this up. I really want to play this. I think it's out in Europe already.

so Bravely Default hits Feb, 7th. As far as I can tell, it's the first 2014 game I'll be picking up. And I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pre-order the CE so I can get that soundtrack. I was very please w/ my decision to get the SMT IV box while I still could. I wonder if the BD artbook is also a strategy guide the way the SMT one was?

Anyway, it feels exciting to have an upcoming game I'm looking forward to. 2013 was an excellent year for games - a year in which it was difficult to play everything that I wanted to. So it's really intriguing to see what else will be coming in 2014.

/ramble.

Bravely Default looks awesome, and seeing as how the developers of 3D Dot Game Heroes are behind this, I'm really pretty excited.

I actively avoid collector or special editions of games. However, I wouldn't mind having the soundtrack. If the cartridge's case is identical to the regular retail, I may bite.

Wait, does the regular game come with the AR cards?

I'm a total sucker for soundtracks, personally. I mean I don't get *every* CE of every game I want that has a soundtrack. But, this one does look especially nice.

I don't see why it wouldn't be. In the case of SMT IV, they just stopped distributing the bigbox & extras after the first run. There was no change to the actual game-case artwork or anything.
