Houston Grand Prix Indy Car - Pit Pass Pics

I know we have some car enthusiast here so I wanted to share. I had pit passes to the Houston Grand Prix yesterday. There is a 2nd race today I'm headed to as well.

Race was downtown around Reliant Stadium (Texans) & Astrodome (previously Astros before Minute Maid Park). Enjoy the pics! It was crazy to see how they transformed the area into a street track!

Thanks for those. I'm an IndyCar fan, and yesterdays race was one huge cluster. Funny how all the cars looked nice on the standing start, then we all know what happened. Today they're gonna re attempt it.

Great to know there's another Indy fan here. I've made my way to Indianapolis twice over the past 5 yrs for the Indy 500.

I'm here today on the web between laps on the last straight away lol. Yesterday was a cluster. Takuma Sota stalled today as well!

That was nuts. Looked too much like Weldon's crash. Glad everyone was OK as well.

To give a perspective of the weather. Yesterday was 108 heat index & today was 71 heat index. Texas lol... nearly a 40 degree difference.

I was able to go to the Baltimore Grand Prix over Labor Day weekend. It is a shame that they won't be coming back. The first couple are from when I was down in the actual pits right after practice ended, (where I was not supposed to be).

Very nice! Is the orange & blue car a Le Mans machine? I know they did that & Indy cars @ Baltimore.

Yeah, that is one of the ALMS cars. My friend and I were at the end of pit lane when they were ending one of their practices so we got some good pictures of them. They ran the ALMS series, the Indy Lights, the Indy cars, and one other series that I can't remember the name of right off hand. You gotta love these paint schemes:

these are awesome. i have still never been to the indy 500 but i'm thinking of changing that this coming year.
