Dayam!

Amazon sent my copy of Shin Megami Tensei IV in a bubble mailer, and the box was crushed all to hell. SMT IV comes from Atlus in a special edition-type cardboard box. Common sense would tell you not to ship something like that in a bubble mailer!

At least Amazon has a good return policy. I got another one a week later, this time it was sent in a regular box.

Yeah, I'm hoping they send my new copy in a box, but I'm not holding my breath. I love Amazon, and yes, their return policy is great. It was hassle free. I've dealt with their customer service once before and it was top notch.

I know that Amazon regularly ships such things in a bubble envelope, but that doesn't make it right. I've never had a problem like this with Amazon, or anything else for that matter, but I've just been lucky. I forget if I said before (and I'm too lazy to check) but a few years back I ordered about 3 Wii games from Amazon and one of them had slight case damage. Although it wasn't anything close to this, I was annoyed. It wasn't nearly bad enough for me to bother doing anything about it, but it's still very annoying. I'm buying stuff from a retailer, I expect it to come in undamaged. Even if the USPS were the ones who actually crushed it, Amazon should know that such things happen and ship it accordingly.

I feel like they should definitely use a box for such items. Me, personally, I rarely ship something in just a bubble envelope. Even though I receive things in the mail all the time in one, I just don't trust using them myself. Unless it's for something that isn't in danger of being crushed, or I'll some times line it with cardboard so it's it's pretty much like a box at that point.

The only times when my games were damaged from bubble envelopes, is when I ordered a special edition in a paper box.. That's when they backfire..

Yesterday I bid and won Ghost Rider on PSP for $1.65 + shipping. I saw the email telling me I won and planed on paying around now (in the morning). As I was checking my email I saw that i received a interesting message from the seller.
The game is actually more then 1.60 if your interested I'll sell it to u for $10 let me know if that works for you.

Based on what he wrote i'm guessing this isn't going to be a fun transaction. :x I will update as it progresses.

If they wanted to sell it for $10, they should've listed it at $10.

This is a great thread, but I think the OP needs to grab all the seller names mentioned here to put them on the first post. It would be helpful.

so what do we do about sellers like Hit-japan, where many of us have had positive expieriences with and a few have had bad? I talked to Mjmjr25 about talking with the other mods about starting a stickied thread in the BST where the list could be updated. probably be best to have the list separate from this thread since we use this mostly to discuss the topic.

I don't think it's fair or accurate to blacklist eBay sellers with almost 40k feedback at 99.8% positive (this year). No disrespect to negatives experiences people have had here, but yeah, a few bad transactions out of thousands does not mean the seller goes on a wall of shame.
