I was able to play the Japanese Project Justice with no problems a few years back. Did it only work because it was a burned copy?

Yes, it would have been region fixed along with whatever might have been ripped out or down scaled to make it fit on a CD.Violent By Design wrote:I was able to play the Japanese Project Justice with no problems a few years back. Did it only work because it was a burned copy?

Thanks for the tip, I guess it's time I go at it again. Just wondering, are there any models that don't play burned discs? If so, how do I find out?Hobie-wan wrote:When burning discs for older systems, the slower the better. 10X or less is best, but some newere drives won't go that slow. I specifically use an old laptop as it will do 4X.

Look on the label on the bottom. If there's a 0 or 1 in the circle, you're generally good to go (except for some late date 1s after October). If there's a 2, you'll see a bunch of information saying they won't, but apparently they can, it's just tricky. I haven't looked at the information on 2 but it is out there and I believe it applies to the late 1s as well.

Can you patch imported games before burning? So you don't have to use a boot disc.

THANK YOU!!! This process got me REZ playing on my DC! It's so simple too. Now my Dreamcast appreciation can truly begin.GSZX1337 wrote:I've had more luck with this guide.Czernobog wrote:I have heard numerous times that DiscJuggler is the way to go for the easiest time with burning DC games.santanime wrote:Maybe it's my inexperience at this sort of thing, but am I the only one around here who's had nothing but trouble burning discs for my Dreamcast? This more than anything else (aside from a buttload of cash) is stopping me from maximizing my DC appreciation.
