Saturn Bomberman Help - Importing

Post by Jagosaurus »

Alright guys, looking to import this & want to get the version identical to US version. A few questions.

1. How English friendly are the menus for anyone who has imported a JPN copy?

2. Is this the JPN game that is equivalent to US release?
Image

3. Is this the same game pictured above, just greatest hits?

4. Bomberman Wars is the RPGish title, correct?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

The middle one is Saturn Bomberman. That's the one you want. You don't want Bomberman Wars or Bomberman Fight!.

They are largely equal. Some of the menu options are in Japanese, but you can memorize them once you figure them out. Actual gameplay requires no Japanese.

hey bomberman Fight is pretty decent as well, not as great as Saturn bomberman but definitely worth importing and it requires no Japanese. It kind of reminds me of Bomberman 64 with its isometric view, it gets a thumbs up from me. Bomberman wars is more like a Tactical RPG with tons of text, so if you can't read it pass on it.

Okay awesome. Thanks.

So my top pic is Bomberman Fight, middle is SS Bomberman (same as US release), bottom pic is Bomberman Wars... I'm hunting this cover art, correct?

Yep. Shouldn't matter if it's GH (sakatore) or not.

Yeah there is very little you need to know going into playing the import. The story is, bad guy has gems, get them back. That is it so you don't need to worry about the story. The biggest hurdle is the menus for battle mode, but it will take you a good 5 minutes of fiddling around to figure it out.

Excellent choice by the way. Saturn Bomberman is, in my opinion, the best Bomberman game without question. Great music, great visuals and it takes the classic bomberman mechanics and refines them to perfection. Enjoy! Let us know how it worked out for ya
