I'd love to do GC in component but since I can't fork over $100 and up for the exclusive cable, I have it on a CRT w/ S-Video and sometimes I'll bring it to my small HDTV also by S-Video when the SNES isn't using that.

While I use the Wii to play GameCube games (until I get mine fixed), I would answer that there is something more authentic about playing on its native hardware. It's why I got into console collecting and probably why a lot of people did.

I use my PVM for both my GameCube and PS2, with the GC using S-video and the PS2 using RGB.

Hm, play all my PSX games on my PS2 slim & I don't feel that way. Also why I want a Sega PBC for SMS titles. Its authentic (to me anyway) while saying space & avoiding emulation.

Side note, PS2 looks decent on a HDTV if you leave it on 4:3.
