Re: Youtube Gamer channels
I can't stomach watching AlphaOmegaSin - all he does is scream, yell, and swear just for the sake of doing it. Really annoying personality, and there are far better channels that have already been mentioned (Mark from CGR should have his own tv show, in my opinion).

Re: Youtube Gamer channels
I used to think his video were decent, but the more I watched the more agitated I became by him. I don't find him humorous whatsoever, and I find his jokes to be very distracting to the point where I've given up on his videos. I would try and look past it if he didn't think he was the funniest guy on the internet and make the videos more about his awkward humor than talking about the game/topic. This seems to be more prevalent in his newer videos.Retrogamer0001 wrote:Mark from CGR should have his own tv show, in my opinion.
I do think he picks some great games to talk about though, and that he goes out of his way to talk about a very expansive selection of games (i.e. everything).
I've been watching Lazy Game Reviews lately, it's a breath of fresh air as he mostly talks about old school PC gaming and random obscure topics. Best of all the videos are pretty much 100% informative, with the only humor being him always doing a Duke Nukem voice, which he's pretty good at.

Re: Youtube Gamer channels
I love Mark more than words could say. I think he actually might be the funniest man on Youtube, so I really enjoy his videos on just about everything. Especially the Darth Vadar Lando Calrissian glass. More than anything I enjoy the level of preparation and work that go into the CGR family of videos. Even the PAPA videos are worth watching, I think.
I agree with Retrogamer that AlphaOmegaSin is intolerable. Seems like he's constantly just stringing together a poorly articulated rant for upwards of 20 minutes. Every time I mistakenly click on one of his videos, I feel like I need to scrape at my brain with an unfurled paper clip to get the blood and ringing out of my ears; or at least off my mind.
I've been watching a bit of the ConinueShow lately. It's a pretty good hybrid of LP/demi-review/shooting the shit vids. I've started to get a bit more annoyed by the juvenile humor in the newer episodes, though. The older episodes with Dom don't seem to succumb to this as much, but I kind of like Josh more. What do? Anyway, the videos give me a good glimpse at some games with some added entertainment at times.
Also, I've been making it a habit to watch Game Sack every other sunday, and I like MetalJesus' hidden gems videos.

I'll second MN12bird & Lukemorse.
Also, as far as the Game Chasers driving up prices...
the same could be said about sites like RB that come up in search engine hits for pricing guides, etc lol. These guys do openly admit that they hate the way they've caused several or their go-to places to "dry up." They're good guys (I've personally made a trade with Billy) and don't flip games for money. They're collectors like us. Hell, the guy gave me a free copy of Super C for nothing. They're in it for the right reason, just in general the internet has given the hobby more exposure & unfortunately increased the number of people looking to make a quick buck. There's no denying the Game Chasers awesome production quality, great stuff.

Re: Youtube Gamer channels
Game reviews/videos and metal videos/music are pretty much all I watch on YouTube. My channel subscription list is chock full of them.
My favorites (all of which subscribed to):
-331Erock - Not techincally a game review/video channel, but he is just epic on guitar and creates metal covers of many pop-culture themes including video game themes.
-8BitRob - Unfortunately, no new videos from this one, anymore. They were pretty funny reviews of NES games done in-character as the NES robot periphial, R.O.B. the Robot.
-All Your History Are Belong To Us (Machinima) - A documentary series on the history of gaming from Machinima. Not as good as G4Icons, but still entertaining and informative.
-Angry Video Game Nerd (Cinemamassacre) - The ever popular, crappy video game, review show.
-CGRUndertow - Classic Game Room reviews done by reviewers other than Mark Bussler. Updated with new videos daily. Derick's high-energy (borerline A.D.H.D.) style of reviewing, and glowing enthusiasm for gaming and nerdiness in general makes him my personal favorite reviewer of the bunch.
-Classic Game Room (InecomCompany) - Mark Bussler ONLY game reviews. Unique sense of humor, and updated with new videos often.
-Game Sack (MrGameSack) - Not my all-time favorite game reviewers. But not bad either. Worth watching if you're looking for one outside of the more popular reviewers. These guys aren't afraid to share their opinions on a game despite whatever the popular opinion may be.
-G4Icons - Great show video game documentary show with slick production valus, no longer on T.V., but luckily on this channel on YouTube. Covers a variety of gaming topics.
-Gamester81 - Very knowledgable, and personable reviews of some often obscure stuff.
-Irate Gamer - Everyone loves to hate this guy. But I enjoy his "meant for entertainment only" reviews, and despite all the comparisons, he's unique enough to be enjoyed in addition to Angry Video Game Nerd.
-MetalJesusRocks - My type of old school/metal guy reviewing great classic games and other related videos. And I love discovering a lot of new stuff along with him, he gets just as excited about this stuff as I would.
-TurboViews (spida1a) - TurboGrafx-16, PC Engine, and Turbo-CD reviews only; very slick production values for a YouTube review show.
Considering how much he has, you've got to forgive him for not being 100% of the time right. That's a lot of history he has!

No, but he's quick to edit in corrections, when he does make mistakes. Which does show he cares about getting it right.Thierry Henry wrote:Gamester81 has almost every gaming system in existence, but when I watch his vids I kinda tend to get the impression that he doesn't always know/or is entirely sure as to what he's talking about. I dunno maybe that's just me.

Re: Youtube Gamer channels
It's been made clear that the YouTube channels I watch are unpopular and often criticized here due to their crude/juvenile humor, but that's why I like them. So suck it...
I absolutely love Mark from CGR, and can never get enough of his videos. I remember a couple years ago I went back and watched every episode for the hell of it. Took me a long ass time.
AVGN? I like James Rolfe. His real personality is a lot like mine, and his taste in movies is incredible. I love watching his films, and enjoy just about everything he does.
Game Sack has quickly become one of my favorite channels on YouTube. The horribly scripted comedy is charming, and the natural friendship between the two cannot be compared to any other duo(or trio) on YouTube.
Continue is a more recent find recommended by a JonTron video. Glad I found these guys.

Re: Youtube Gamer channels
I didn't mention Spoony because he mostly uploads stuff to his website (and there's a lot of movie reviews, wrestling&table top RPG related videos, vlogs and other more boring/non game related videos there), but there's also him http://www.youtube.com/user/SpoonyOne
He and JonTron are the best guys at making "AVGN like" humorous video reviews in my opinion. Actually when it comes to pure passion and really verbally owning shitty video games, Spoony's Ultima 9 and Final Fantasy reviews beat anything AVGN has done because he has so much personal reasons to hate those games.
I much prefer the "Nintendo" guy of Gamesack, he's more mellow, while the Sega fanboy can be kinda annoying at times, dissing games that aren't Sega or ones that he has no clue about (like saying that all old PC games are boring or something like that). Also for some reason he reminds me of the axe murderer from Last Action Hero. Not a very nice comparison, given how fugly that guy was.

It's been some time since I watched his stuff, but from what I recall, his actual non rant videos (collections&unboxins) were ok, he was at times funny. But most of his videos seem to be 8+ minute rant videos, and those rant videos consist of juvenile swearing and not being entertaining in any way, and most of the time whatever he's saying is could be summarized in less than 40 seconds, even though the video is 8+ minutes.Retrogamer0001 wrote:I can't stomach watching AlphaOmegaSin - all he does is scream, yell, and swear just for the sake of doing it. Haha yeah, I like how their jokes are often kind of cheesy, but they acknowledge their "lack of charisma" etc by making fun of themselves. (the voice acting is almost as bad as ours and lines like that). The joke where one game had so bad music it made their ears bleed had me laughing IRLjinx wrote: Game Sack has quickly become one of my favorite channels on YouTube.
