Re: What's Your View On Marijuana?
It'll never be legalized in the US. Tobacco companies & tobacco farmers are huge political campaign backers financially. Simply put, they put the people in office would vote for or against it, so it'll never hit the agenda.
Federal law superceeds state law & the FBI or DEA can bust you at anytime in California or Colorado. They just pick their battles wisely & go for the big fish.
As for my thoughts on the drug, I stick to beer lol.

I live in California. Trust me, it's not an issue over here. Medical marijuana is most DEFINETLY legal. There are multiple dispensery shops all over the place. They're like regular stores, open to the public (over 18 of course), and in the middle of town.Jagosaurus wrote:It'll never be legalized in the US. The federal government IS NOT banging down anyone's door here. Full legalization seems close to being a reality, where I live.
And I thought I had read that Colorado recently did fully legalize it.

Did I already comment on this thread? Don't remember. I say legalize it under federal law.

Re: What's Your View On Marijuana?
I'm with others in that I wish it would be legalized so people shut up and get over it.
Granted I was around it too much for several years here so it's a murky discussion that just frankly pisses me off for the most part. Safe to say it completely ruined a handful of my friendships over the years. It's complicated because like anything else, moderation is key and it is probably the users (my ex friends) that are the real issue, and I'm at fault myself for putting up with it for years. Slowly though people stopped giving a flying fuck about you, it was all about them, more and more braindead high school kids started joining the group, deals, then cue all the other drugs they had to try out. Finally cut those people off and good riddance, one of those dudes is almost 30 and still living in his mom's basement.
Also pretty much everyone I've encountered that slipped heavily into it at many points started begging others for money.
Tried it three times myself and like cigarettes I couldn't stand it anyways.
BUT PASS THE BEER!
