The funny thing about The Avengers is if the same movie had been made ten years ago, it would have been lambasted as one of the cheesiest, corniest movies ever, but today, it's widely considered awesome because the audience is willing to accept the kind of good-natured silliness inherent in the superhero genre. We've come a long way.
Ten years ago good super-hero movies were few and far in-between. The Avengers wouldn't have been lambasted AT ALL. It would have been the greatest thing a geek had ever seen back then.

I don't know, what if they screw up another classic?

But hopefully spends far more making the film.

You mean by not including Oingo Boingo on the soundtrack?

If they get Danny Elfman to do the score, that'll be close enough.

Evangelion 3.333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333whatever

So this must be the guy's take on things.

"Im gonna make an anime series about huge mecha and put a lot of biblical shit in it..."

Makes the show, people like it...

"...BUT I'm gonna go ahead and make up some bullshit clipshow that makes no sense and pretend it's deep and meaningful..."

People hate the ending with a passion.

"...and then im gonna try to 'explain' it with End of Evangelion..."

peoples reaction: ....dafuq?

"...OK FINE I'll just remake the whole shebang and make it easily accessible to fans and non-fans..."

Evangelion 1, 2 and 3.

People:...dafuq?

That mostly had to do with the show's budget getting unplugged, leaving them with limited resources to finish it.

EoE is weird and cryptic but it's at least finished.
